HDRDKG Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Greetings, What are the chances of Benelli making a steel receiver for the M4? The only issue I have with my M4, is getting dings from the spent shell casing coming out of the ejection port. If the reciver was made of steel like the Remington 870 Police Magnum, this problem would be fixed. I also prefer all steel guns VS alloy. Just curious what other members think. Thanks Quote

Thanks While it would be cool I guess. I think that a steel receiver is greatly overrated. People harp on 870s all the time because of this, but id rather have a Winchester 1300 anyday. Short of little dings and such, I cant see how it would help, even in a hostile situation. If I need to drive railroad spikes into rocks, I have a sledge hammer. Quote
HDRDKG Posted December 13, 2007 Author Posted December 13, 2007 True, but I just prefer an all steel receiver and it will take more abuse in the long run than an aluminum receiver. Quote
mike4 Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 my mossbergs have survived just as well as any of my 870's or 1100's. if they mean alot to ya , don't ding em up. my m4 will do as well as any 10 year old alumminum gun i got. Quote
