This is really dumb, but I am superstitious. The 870 was new last spring and I was successful, plus I already had it dialed in. So, I opted to leave the SBEII at home and hunt with the Remington. My brother in law is going to use the Benelli during IL's 4th season and hopefully christen it (although, I already shot a few rabbits with it).

I'm also wierd about following the rules. The permit says to tag the bird IMMEDIATELY after harvesting it, so I tag it IMMEDIATELY. Heaven forbid a game warden come walking up while I am photographing an untagged turkey.

It's an 870 Express Supermagnum. 3 1/2" chamber. It doesn't even kick when you shoot turkeys, only when you shoot at paper. Funny how that works. Forgive my picture posting skills, this is new and very challenging for me.

Hey tucker my remington magnum patterns as well at 30 yards as my eagle does at 40 and it is a modified barrel no chokes. I will have to shoot it at 40 and see what is looks when I get it back from broinlaw. he is trying out turkey huntin

My SBEII is about 30 turkeys shy of catching up to the 870 I had for 25 years.
