i put a 11707 m4 on layaway and was wondering if it can use the collapsable stock without changing the slide assembly.

also is there any difference between an 11707 bought in california?

i was refering to the part in the buttstock i heard it called the slide assembly by someone. i guess it could be the return spring tube and equates to a buffer tube in an ar15.

i was wondering if the tube that comes on an 11707 would allow a collapsible stock to collapse.

thanks in advance.

Not sure what slide assembly you are talking about, but a collapsable stock is not legal in CA.

no it is not legal..but the guns were not modified...the rear mounting bar is the same and can take a collapsible stock no problem..just the CA guns were shipped with a standard field stock for a while...only the 1014's cannot take the collapsible stocks...

Ive heard it only fits on the 11707 and the desert camo gun is 11717 does it fit the desert camo gun?

I've never seen a desert camo colored collapsible stock, so i dont think so...

desert camo guns should be able to take the collapsible stock too - but the stocks are never camo'd reguardless...
