  1. And yes, they're standard threads for the receiver extension. Turning it clockwise will tighten it when viewed from the buttpad.

  2. You need to determine if the stock's adjustment button allowed the stock to twist on you when firing. I'd want to inspect the stock to see if any of the pins that lock the stock in place are damaged. This damage could also be on the button itself. If the receiver extension is moving around under recoil, it's dangerous and should be addressed. It's just a matter of time before it twists during recoil and you get socked in the eye by the rear sight assembly. I'd highly recommend fixing it yourself, having Benelli address it or sending it to me. I would not let a general gunsmith try to fix it. I'd remove the stock and pistol grip and get a good look at the jam nut that retains the receiver extension to the receiver. See if there are any signs of movement. If you're handy and not afraid of a MAPP torch and buying a few specialty tools that you likely don't have, I could walk you thru the repairs. I can give you my cell number to text or call if you want to go that route.

  3. Took the M4 out shooting today to test the A&S with my FFT FCG parts. Everything worked flawlessly. All problems solved. I noticed the new trigger guard goes in and out of the gun much more easily than the original plastic one, a nice benefit. The pin that holds the trigger guard in has a more precise fit and that pin requires no force (the factory setup required me to hook the bolt handle under the head of the pin and pull out, as described in the M4 manual).

  4. Many thanks for all the knowledge sharing on the this forum which helped me personalize my M4. Upgrades: Collapsable stock, Limbsaver pad, FFT bolt handle, Briley CF mag tube with Nordic extended follower, GG&G bolt release, FFT trigger pack with A&S Trigger guard, TTI extended safety, TTI extended carrier, Carlson breach choke, Tango Arms stippled forearm, and Meprolight night sights.

  5. Installed the Briley CF tube with the extended follower made by Nordic. Really like looks.

  6. I used the Powerbuilt tool from Amazon to install the spring clip today. The tip was just a tad wide. It probably would be fine with a little fiddling but I decides to grind/file little bit off one side of the jaws and it fit great without slipping.

  7. Correct. No Loctite is needed there. The snap ring is meant to keep the stock retaining screw from backing out. Now if you were using an Urbino, I’d probably use blue Loctite to keep the stock retaining screw from backing out.
