  1. How much are you willing to pay? Sidearmor makes a nice mount. Then there is this option from Brugger & Thomet , which reportedly costs over $300. Also, Surefire says that they are coming out with a picatinny rail fore end for the M4/M1014. All of which set you up for a nice Surefire Universal light system Hey, its only money [ 05-02-2004, 06:01 AM: Message edited by: MAINEiac ]
  2. I don't have any experience with the EOTech, but the Aimpoint is sweeeet, no problems holding a zero. Mount it up and let us know how it works out.
  3. Vang Comp recommends special barrels by the DVC division of GG&G. They also do most of the other mods that you mentioned. Cal's Sporting Armory usually has the most and has it first. 4. Actually, the flag is a feature of the limited edition M1014, which is civilian. The military version does not have the flag, but does have a real collapsible stock and 7 round magazine capacity.
  5. Replacing a mag tube on an M1S90 is a job for the factory or EXPERIENCED Benelli gunsmith, as there is a possibility of damaging the tube and or receiver (at least that's what we were told at the armorer's class). I believe that the same is true for the M1014, although when I took the class in January of 2003 the 1014 was brand new and the instructor didn't have any "hands on" experience with them. Dan
  6. Remove the short limiter plug in the magazine, that will get you up to five. Add the mag extension and you're up to seven. Put one in the chamber for eight. And now for the "secret extra round": before you put the last round in the chamber, pull back the bolt about halfway. You'll have to manipulate the bolt and shell carrier, but it is possible to load a round on the shell carrier and let the bolt slide over it. Now drop the last round in the chamber. Voila! Nine 2&3/4 rounds are loaded!
  7. Ah, the ever-growing fraternity of M1014/M4 lovers! 3 Gun Gear makes a variety of shell holders using nylon webbing and velcro. The Remington 1100 Competition Master comes standard with one of their side-saddle style shell holders. As for lights, the hot setup would seem to be the mount by Sidearmor (as pictured previously in this thread) and a Surefire Millenium Universal Light. I'm trying to come up with a way to mount a vertical fore grip. This would give better control, the same stance that I use with a carbine, and allow space on the fore end to mount another shell holder. Dan
  8. Thanks Paul. Do you know how many extra rounds the extension holds? I'm wondering if the extension could fit on any M1S90. Dan
  9. Does anyone here know if Benelli ever made rifled barrels shorter than 24" for the M1 Super90? Also, is the magazine tube for the M1 Practical one or two piece? Do you see where I'm going here: 8 rd mag + 21" rifled barrel = sweet slug gun.

    Benelli's Best

Reliability with full power slugs and buckshot, which is all that I have used so far, is flawless. The light mount is an ARMS 21 scope ring with ARMS 22TRC and 1" adapter, attached to an ARMS 22TRR Tactical Ring Rail. The 22TRR provides the picatinny surface for the Surefire throwlever attachment of the 12V Millenium light. This was initially a temporary setup, as the ring has to be removed from the mag tube to remove the barrel. However, Surefire now says that they have no plans for a mount for the Benelli M1014/M4. A better solution seems to be the mount available from Sidearmor.

Yes, but this is a LE model. Can't you see how much safer it is?

Very nice. What kind of light and mount is that? Dan
