  1. spoke with benelli gun is post ban with extended magazine tube and pistol grip stock
  2. This is a tactical with Ghost rings (non LPA). The seller says the muzzle is not threaded. Pics I've seen of the gun show it to be in superb (excellent) condition. Yes, I could get a new barrel, but that makes the gun very expensive and I would need to buy a new rear sight slao. [ 07-08-2004, 09:42 AM: Message edited by: madecov ]
  3. I have the ability to aquire an H&K/Benelli M1S90 in a trade serial number is M232xxx. 1) is this pre ban? 2) the gun has no boxes or papers and the muzzle is unthreaded, no chokes. Is this normal? all the info I have found on the net and speaking to benelli is that the gun should have had a threaded muzzle and choke tubes. any referance on the tactical would be greatly appreciated
  4. LEO, you got it right Shroud for heat. In training and practice Optics can be needed and or mandated by a department. Optics are a minor consideration, I wouldn't use them but there are folks who need them. I was just addressing some concerns on the Nova as to it's competitiveness against the 870 My personal complaints are the size of the safety and the release
  5. I have and carry my Nova Tactical on duty. There are a few shortcomings that I feel benelli should address in a LEO pump gun. 1) the safety button is way to small, it needs to ba larger so it is easier to operate. 2) same goes for the slide release, it is small, flat and difficult to find in stressful situations. 3) ability to mount optics if needed. An LEO platform should have optical mounts right out of the box, a red dot sight would be wonderful. 4) heat shroud for the barrel, self explanitory. 5)Accesories such as light and laser mounts, benelli needs to do more to have manufacturers support the platform. Don't get me wrong, I love the gun. It is smooth, has a great trigger and sights. I can get on target fast. But the above are things that all the other Police pump guns have available to them. Without these things the Nova will probably never truly compete in the LEO market.
  6. I love the look of the Nova, my kids call it the space gun
  7. The company that does it is lauer weaponry They do the camo jobs for DS Arms and a few others
  8. Not sue if they would sell it to you, but try Cal's sporting armory. Do a net search. I have heard mixed reviews of them but I have no problems

    Nova Pump question

I've had my Nova Tactical about 2 months. I shot it for function test and also to qualify with for my Department. I didn't find recoil bad at all. I am also still searching for a decent sling set up.
  10. The benelli light mount is made for and by Insight for the M3 family. I wish Surefire made a dedicated foreend for the gun but they won't

    Nova Pump question

I saw a side saddle available at Cal's sporting armory under the accesories page. I have the NOVA tactical with ghost rings and love the gun.

    Benelli Tactical

Love the M4, what light and mount is that ? I'm thinking of a new duty shotgun and the M4 seems to be the one I might look at
  13. Just found the board, while surfing the Benelli web site. I own a benelli Nova Tactical with ghost ring sights. It is my duty shotgun and I love the thing. I find recoil to be very manageable . The only really bad thing is that there is really no accesories made for the Nova, Surefire ignores it. It even seems that Benelli ignores this model. I have managed to mount a flashlight on the gun but it is not exactly the type of set up I want. I have considered purchasing an "american" made shotgun as my next purchase but the benelli guns just float my boat.
