  3. I recently went to a gun shop and handled a mossberg model 935. It feels like a great gun. The owner of the shop didnt know much about it though. Does anyone know how reliable it is?? Anything wrong with it? All feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks -Nick

    SBE

I am looking to buy either a SBE or a montefeltro. I would be using it for turkey, duck, geese, phesant etc. I would just like to hear your opinions on both of these guns. And does anyone know anything about the SBE II. Price and whatnot??? All feedback is greatly appreciated.
  5. My first gun was a 12 gauge, I got it 2 years ago and I was about 130 pounds and probably 5' 6". I was scared to shoot it at first, but when I did it was nothing. I dont feel much of a difference in my 12 gauge mossberg from my 20 gauge ithaca. Dont worry about recoil. If your hunting it is the last thing on your mind.
  6. Just my opinion- My friend recently bought a 870 super mag. And let me tell you, that gun has been to **** and back. It has been dropped in the water, on concrete, rocks, gravel, you name it. The gun is absolutely unbreakable. It has never jammed up on him. He has shot about 500 shells out of it. Never misfired, not a problem with the gun yet. On our last duck hunting excursion he let me use the 870 and he used my Ithaca. My, what a nice gun. I have no complaints. Except that I dont have one. What a wonderful gun. A+
  7. As mgspencer said, I also do not feel a large difference in recoil in 3" to 3 1/2". I am only 17 years old, I have shot my share of 3" shells and just recently 3 1/2" out of my buddies mossberg. Sure, when shooting at paper it is more noticeable, but when you are out in the field/duck blind recoil tends to be the absolute last thing on my mind. Now the 3 1/2" I shot WAS a pump, and I have yet to shoot a 3 1/2 out of a semi. I am told, no personal experience on this one, that the 3 1/2 is more beneficial for turkeys/geese?? I shoot 2 3/4" loads out of my old mossberg pump for ducks and I had no problem dropping a few nice ones out of the sky past season. So I guess you just need to ask yourself if the price of such a gun and or shells is worth it. Im sure many people out there would agree that a 3", in most cases, will get the job done just as well as a 3 1/2".
