Print a copy of the weather report for that day to verify your claim of rain. And take it to the judge. Let them decide after pleading your case. You may be surprised! At the least, it will be reduced--hopefully! Just a thought. Good luck!
Might want to consider another gun for hunting needs. The bbl price is shocking! Maybe an 870 for hunting and leave the M1 as is? I have an M1 and went through the same route. Bought a 26" and stock for clay games and hunting. Should've bought another used M1 for the same coin. IMO. Good luck!
Hello,
Has anyone had a problem with too much weight on an inertia recoil system? I am curious as I am trying to adapt an M1 for clay games and have weighted it in the stock and mag tube. Running 1 oz loads it has been 100%. But am considering adding the mag tube cap weight. Will this be to much? Thanks....Dinger
Give the mercury recoil reducer a try. I added one to my M1 that I use for skeet. All the O/U guys laugh at me for using an auto but my shoulder doesn't hurt after 100rds anymore. Good luck!
Thanks for the replys! I agree--to just pick up a shorter bbl. But price is an issue. I was just curious if anyone had any success shortening and rethreading for choke tubes. Looking at the Vent Rib may be a problem. I have a 26"VR and am looking at something around 21". Not even thinking about anything shorter than 18.5".
