Now I'm torn, buy the M1014 now or wait and see what the M2 Tactical looks like. I think I already know what you would suggest M1014, "Buy the M1014 then buy the M2 Tactical."

What's a good price on an M1014? New that is?

In reference to the two retail stores selling the M4/M1014: as long as they do not sell them with telescoping stock and magazine extension already on the gun they shouldn't be in violation of the law. From what I saw on the website it looks like they are selling kits for the consumer to decide if they want to install the stuff and be in violation of the law.

M1014: Where do you recommend getting the magazine extension, heat shield, and new bolt handle. Does the practical stock have any significant advantages and did you have to do anything special to get it on? It is a good looking gun and I've seen you also have a few M4s. Which one do you like best?

What are the recommended modifications/additions for the M1 Tactical?
