  1. I have never heard such a thing proposed on a gun forum before. Ever.
  2. While I agree that polishing for the sake of polishing is not an efficient way to manufacture a firearm, my concern is that these are far deeper than anything that could be simply polished away, and it has me questioning the durability of certain parts. Particularly, the rear of the trigger assembly seems to indicate a lack of concern with casting quality, which does worry me a bit. That being said, the durability of Benelli products is well documented, so I'm not too worried as long as mine isn't outside of the norm.
  3. Lol wait, it is spelled Benulli, right?
  4. So shall I assume your internals look the same? I'm just trying to figure out if what I have is normal, that's all.
  5. I realize I'm showing up out of the blue with a fair amount of negativity, but I must say that I'm less than impressed with the workmanship I'm finding in this shotgun. I mentioned the bad finish under the hand guards on my in a previous M-4, and now as I take a closer look at the internals I'm finding several areas which are quite rough. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn222/ianjbs/m4-2/P1010314.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn222/ianjbs/m4-2/P1010330.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn222/ianjbs/m4-2/P1010329.jpg Oh, and the stock is not straight. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn222/ianjbs/m4-2/P1010331.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn222/ianjbs/m4-2/P1010334.jpg I've emailed images to Benelli, and hopefully they will take care of this. I was told to call back after a week and a half if I haven't heard anything by then.
  6. I've been digging these as of late, of course it would depend on what you want the case for. http://www.originalsneakybags.com/
  7. Thanks for the input everyone. I will give Benelli a call and see what they say. Later today I will post other photos which are giving me a bit of pause, I'm not sure this gun should have escaped the factory.
  8. Yes I am aware of how to care for the gas system, and I have yet to fire the weapon. Any thoughts on what could cause this type of marred finish?
  9. It seems to be a matter of weapon retention during fights as far as many are concerned. And the cool factor of course.
  10. Why is that funny? Did I miss out?
  11. This is good information, I have been wondering about exactly this. Thanks!
  12. The finish of the gas system is splotchy and uneven, it's not anything I can clean off, and a light film of oil doesn't change it in any substantial way. Does anybody have any ideas as to what may be the culprit? Does any soldering go on in this area? Could that be the problem? Thanks in advance for the help. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn222/ianjbs/m4/benelli5.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn222/ianjbs/m4/benelli4.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn222/ianjbs/m4/benelli2.jpg
  13. Ok, i'm looking for a semi-auto shotgun for home defense, and the m2 tactical and the m4 have caught my attention. What are the pros and cons of each model? How do they function with reduced-recoil loads, standard and magnum rounds? What is the deal with the 2 vs. 4 ports on the m-4? Can I get the military version(1014?) of the m-4? Should I consider any other models of benelli? Any information would be most helpful and appreciated. Thanks.
