  1. M4Madness, maybe your state only wants the wealthy to have the super cool stuff? The cheapest "specialty" type firearm BY FAR is a short barreled shotgun. Where as a machine gun will cost thousands. Even a crappy Mac 10 will cost you thousands. Suppresors are far cheaper but still more then a short barrel, esp., if you get a good one. Alot of gun laws leave one scratching there head. You can walk away w/ the most devestating close up hand held firearm there is (shotgun) in my state but a pistol takes 7-10 days. Save your reasoning "that you can't conceal.... blah blah blah. Tight gun laws screw law abiding citezens, and give criminals easy marks IMO.
  2. pdw4137 if I were in the market I'd prefer name brand as well. That price of $89 is getting much closer to what the ext.'s use to cost before Benelli ceased importation. Thanks for the link, I'm sure many people will find it beneficial.
  3. Occomsrazor on the link you p;osted above they give 2 prices, 150 for steel and 125 for aluminum. Is the site wrong? Or is the aluminum for the 1014 only?
  4. Good move sending it back. It def. sounds defective. It would only get worse over time as well.
  5. If you click the link it gives you the prices and tells you the materials. Aluminum is 125 and steel is 150. Must be nice to have a monopoly, cause those are some steep prices.
  6. Theres really no easy way. Its a pain in the butttt. Which you've figured out. I'd tell anyone to wear eye protection. That spring could get away from you and do some real damage to the eye's. Patience, focus, and do it properly. Otherwise you could install it and think everything is a o.k. Then you go to load and you can't add extra shells. This means the spring is kinked and you have to start at square 1. I've seen this problem many times. Usually the shooter thinks the ext. is "faulty" I just tell them that they are faulty and there spring is kinked! Start over bud. Disassemble, and have fun....
  7. jimikesteen that is friggin hilarious! A 26"er on a 3T. It must look out of place but I love it! It also goes to show how versatle the 3T (or M3) is. The M4 is a fine tactical shotgun, but thats all it is. The M3 serves multiple purposes. The M3T is just so cool cause its kind of like a well built S.P.A.S. And looks badazzz. stoenggi in answer to your SWAT question, I'm not sure what your saying. I realize your in another country so thats probably the mix up. In America each state has there own police force, then most counties and cities have there own police force's as well, which are seperate entities from the state police. Within theses seperate county/city police forces some of them have SWAT teams. Theres no one SWAT team in America. There are many, and they all use there own choice of weaponry, training, etc. There are many paralell's and I'm sure there are SWAT teams whose shotgunners carry M4's. SWAT members have much more freedom in what weapon they want to use, this is universal. But you can't make a blanket statement that "SWAT didn't choose the M4" Which SWAT team? One in Orange County California, or one in Alachua County Florida? Hopefully I didn't confuse you more.
  8. Heres a reason ext. may be hard to find. This is off Cals Sporting Armory November 2, 2005 Until further notice, BenelliUSA will cease all sales, marketing and use of magazine tube extensions imported or sold under the Benelli, Franchi and Stoeger brands. BenelliUSA will allow magazine extensions to be supplied by way of tax-exempt sales to law enforcement and government agencies only. The dealer of such a sale will have to supply a letter to BenelliUSA confirming the final destination of the magazine tube extension(s). If you have questions regarding this new BenelliUSA policy please call (301)283-6981.
  9. Ishmael as to where to get an M4 ext. seems to be the $50,000.00 question. You might want to try Mann and Sons (do a search for there phone # on this site, no website) I don't know if there even in business anymore. All the distributors w/ websites have been sold out for some time. You can probably find knock off brand ext. (maybe)
  10. The gun DOES need a solid foundation. No room for argument. I've shot many M1 super 90's and I always have it firmly against my shoulder w/ my cheek on the stock. No problems here.
  11. Not trying to give you a hard time HomeBuild but the last thing I want is a shotgung that isn't solid against my shoulder with 0 room to move. (except the natural recoil that causes movement) If you have any gap between your shotgun stock and your shoulder you could do some serious damage to your body. From bruising your shoulder to fracturing your collarbone. Especially if I'm shooting a Benelli. There should be relatively no problems if the gun is properly broken in. Maybe I misunderstood your post.
  12. Personally if you can get an M3T I'd snatch it up. It suits all of your needs out of the box. You can use non-lethal rounds (thats actually the pumps intended use). You can also shoot regular rounds with the pump, however the non-lethal rounds don't (or have trouble) cycling semi autos.this gun was designed with LE in mind. Folding stock is easier to stow away, plus the pump feature. Both guns can be used for IPSC shooting. IPSC stipulates that the shotgun must be able to be fired from the shoulder position. As long as the M3T's stock is un-folded you meet this requirement. M3T all the way IMO. You listed as one of your pros for the M3T was it was cheaper. M4's aren't cheap but M3T's will cost just as much if not more. [ 04-10-2006, 11:28 PM: Message edited by: TRG-42 ]
