  1. I just love a pump, reliable (not that benelli autos aren't), simple, cheap, and best of all, it requires skill.
  2. You can always try ordering online. I've never done it but I know people who have ordred from places like shotgun news. You find any gun dealer and they will do a transfer for you usually for about 20 dollars. A lot of gun dealers may not have the item or gun your looking for but if you ask they will order it. www.impactguns.com They have new benellis and barrels.
  3. It is my right shoulder, down lower kind of, the bruising doesn't affect me its the jaring that soars it up a few hours later.
  4. I have used just a few Nosler 123 grain (I think they are) for a freind in .284, but it was for a 7mm Rem Mag. I'm going to load them in 280 Remmy for another friend. I was very surprised by the Nosler ballistic tips, real badass. I used IMR 4350 I want to say close to 40 grains wish I could remember. I'm curious myself about any 100 grain .270. What kind of powder do you prefer?
  5. Yes I understand the idea of the gas operation of the M4. A pistol grip might be a good idea, I have strong forearms despite my bad shoulder. I'll bet the pistol grip is available in a Supernova. I'm not afraid of malfunction of any kind from an automatic, especially from the ID system. (It seems to be durable and simple.) I just like a pump. I don't need an automatic anyway. I always say autos are for those who miss because I grew up with single shots haha But for the record I have owned some Autos all of which have been reliable. Thanks for your help
  6. Well I don't care for 870s much at all. Just personal preference. Maybe with an aftermarket stock and such they might be suitable. As for the M4 I definately do not want an Automatic. I also don't see where the M3 or M4 would reduce recoil anymore than a Supernova. I mean they both use comfortec so...I don't get it?
  7. I seen a Nova for 300 dollars, salesman said he could get me a Super Nova with comfortec probably around 450. Just don't know if its worth it or how much it would reduce recoil compared to my old Winchester 1200. Also there is something on the Benelli website about a "recoil reducer". ....?
  8. I've been hunting/plinking since I was probably 7 years old. Even though I'm still a young man the past year or so I have had the worst time dealing with recoil. Probably due to a shoulder injury I had in a car wreck. I neve cared for an overpriced Benelli at all until I heard a few months ago they have considerable less recoil and are lighter. I want a pump action I can shoot clays with and not lay in the recliner in agony the rest of the day. I would even consider a 20 guage. Don't really want to spend more than 400 bux either. Any help from you Benelli owners would greatly be apreciated.

  10. www.impactguns.com www.midwayusa.com www.thegunsource.com www.cheaperthandirt.com These are just a few of the places I freaquent. Probably the best place to order ammo is from Cabellas. You can shop at the website or order a "Shooter's Catalog". Its full of ammo and reloading supplies. Also try glancing through a Shotgun News magazine. You can pick them up at any newstand for a few bucks. Often they have great deals on bulk ammo.
  11. I"ve used a ton of Wolf ammo, especially in my SKS. I feel like it is pretty reliable and doesn't seem to corrode more than others. One great thing about Wolf is they have soft primers thus not causing the wear and tear of practice shooting on the firing pin. I have to admitt that I do not hunt with Wolf ammo. The ballastics aren't so great and I reload my own when I am depending on it.
  12. I believe a great deal of how a gun performs is in the barrel and ammo used. A longer barrel means more muzzle veolicty (probably 25 fps per inch more with a shotgun and around 50 with a rifle) and with a shotgun a tighter pattern obviously. Also a longer barrel would cool a tiny bit better and not to mention they have been known to help balance a gun out that has a heavy action. The material a barrel is made out of or lined with makes a big differnece in barrel life too, although that doesn't apply here. Having said that in a more perfect world we would all have shotguns with 32 inch barrels; but it just isn't practical. Personaly I don't feel like 2 inches would make or break a gun's versatility and cause a lot of handling issues but it really is all about personal preference in the end.
