I run the IWC front and rear sling points that StrangerDanger mentioned. The difference is that I run a Magpul padded MS1 sling, but I run it exactly the same way he does with the rear attachment on the right side.

What mag extension is that?  How many can it hold with that one on it?  Thanks

That’s a great setup. Only thing I would change is the mount for a Spuhr Mount. One because it’s much lower, and second because it’s not a cantilever Mount. Does the picatinny rail have any inclination (MOA)?

    20 MOA

  3. I was just wondering who else does it.  Here is what I got so far.

    Bighorn Arms TL3 Long Action

Proof Research 26” Barrel in 300 PRC (still waiting on it to arrive)

    Magpul Pro 700L Chassis

    TriggerTech Black Diamond Trigger

    Trijicon AccuPower 4.5-30 X 56

    Geissele Super Precision Mount

I plan on it.  Nothing else to put it on.  I liked my MRO on my SBE II so much I put one in my M4 as well.

  5. Well it seams Kenw111 is the go to guy for optics.  Heck, he even used my pic in this post.  The way I see it, I put it on MY M4 THAT I PAID FOR!!!!!!!  And it the optic comes flying off it's no ones fault but my own.  If that happens then I WILL BE THE ONE TO PAY AND FIX IT!!!!! Not sure why the thread I posted was removed other that the few guys that was going back and forth over who was right.  I honestly could care less.  But its a damn shame that someone can't post a thread on here without the KIND OF EVERYTHING BENELLI highjacking the thread because someone does something he doesn't like.

Have you seen this happen? I ask because I have an 870 with the same setup and thousands of rounds through it. The 870 doesn’t absorb some of the recoil like semi autos do. I also have a .50 cal bolt gun with a similar mount and has also not had any issues. I haven’t used mine that much but there are plenty out there fielded in combat with quite a few rounds through them, and no mount failures.

Never heard or seen it happen.  If the proven combat shot gun can't handle the 11.5 oz optic then it's not worth having. Until the day that it fails it will still be my go to shotty!!!

yes there is, that mass will over time SHEER the screws that hold the pic rail to the frame of the M4

AND OR it will most def. splay out the threaded holes for same on the M4

just cause something "works" doesnt make it a good idea.

Well, for a gun that has been in the use of the Marines for many years before such smaller optics like the MRO and XPS2 or XPS3 they used a lot of the EoTech 512's.  My first M4 had a 512 with several thousand rounds with no problem.  The Vortex is only 2 oz more in weight.  The way I see it, if it can't handle it, I DON'T NEED IT.
