@sonyman74 Maybe you would be able to hit up a hardware store and find a nut that matches the size and thread pitch that you need. What are your thoughts on the brightness of the tritium vials in the sights? I have heard reviews of people being disappointed with the lack or brightness of the Meprolight sights.  I just recently had some Ameriglos installed on my Glock G45, and I regret waiting so long...they are very nice!

They are not as bright as I would have liked.  I'm a big Trijicon fan and I think they will be much better. I feel like for the price I paid they should have came with the proper nut.

@sonyman74 Does your M4 have the Briley trigger? If so what are your thoughts?

Yes it does.  I like it a lot.  Much better than the factory.  The only thing I don't like is the color.  LOL

Thanks! I also tried Federal LE Tactical 00 Buckshot (the Flite-Control stuff) and same issue in terms of only being able to get 6 rounds in the tube. Really liked how it patterned though, so might have to figure out this spring reduction thing.

I measured three different 2-3/4" 00 Buck shells from three different brands and they all was different lengths.  The regular Remington was the correct size, the Wolf was about 1/8 longer and the Fiocchi was almost 1/4" longer.  Depends if its crimped or if they roll it with the cardboard plug.  With my new mag extension I can get 8 in the mag of the Remington and the Hornady, but only 8 of the others.

  4. Hey guy, hope all is well.  I'm still stuck here in Saudi.  Looks like I'll be here until May 31st or longer.  It sucks bad because I'v also been having problems with transferring my salary home to the wife.  Two months worth still here.  I think I got stuff settled yesterday but we will see.  Y'all take care!!!

What's the RTV mod?  I have the Hayle rail on mine and like it but also really hate those stupid screws for field stripping it.  Was looking at the new Truckee from Mesa Tactical (8-½" version), but I like the contour of the Hayle better since my Surefire pressure pad is high on the rail for my thumb.  Attached is mine (for the record, it does have the benelliparts.net 922r trigger, hammer, & disconnector, plus of course the Hayle rail - it is an original LE model that I used on patrol, but I figured as soon as I swapped the stock, I should do the compliance parts as well).

Here is the post that the RTV mod was shown.

  6. This is the OPMOD Limited Edition made for Optics Planet.  It an 2010 model but still works great just making room for the Trijicons I been upgrading to.  I can toss in a few extra batteries as well.  Asking $250 shipped.  I live in Florien, LA.  I take PayPal, CashApp, Facebook Pay.

Is that a mag extension/cap combo? And who makes it?

Evolution, Here are the links to the place I bought them.  Big Daddy Unlimited is AMAZING.  You pay $.99 for the trial then $10 a month or $99 per year.  I haven't found ANYONE with lower prices.  I would have saved $800 on my custom 300 PRC build if I would have bought from them.  I bought an MRO and mount for the price of the MRO on MidwayUSA.

  8. Briley MFG. I had them change out my trigger assembly to give me the required US made parts to be compliant when going to the collapsible stock. It’s much better than stock and about a pound lighter. The only thing I didn’t care for is the goldish color of the trigger.

    Sonyman -

You did indeed purchase the wrong extension nut.  It took a while for me to find this page on the NC site, but if you go to:  https://nordiccomp.com/mxt-fit-guide/ it will give the option to choose the correct length of mag tube and what nut you will need for an M4.  The nut you'll need is the:  12 Gauge Benelli Nova/Supernova, Beretta and CZ Extension Nut.  Ain't it nice how there is no mention of M4 in the description?!!

NC's website has always been difficult to navigate and their current SKUs no longer match what I bought 5 years ago...so it definitely takes some inner Inspector Clousea to find things for the M4.   They no longer sell direct which is also a bummer.

    Good luck, Birdog

Birdog19. Thank I called them yesterday and they told me the right one.  I took the one I got and put it on my SBE II.  I just left the spring retaining cap in place to keep it legal for hunting.  I like the way it looks better than the mag cap that has that damn sling stud in it.  The right one will be here tomorrow.

  10. OK, I bought this Nordic that says it'd for the 12 Gauge Benelli M1/M2, SBE 1/2/3.  It will not even come close to working on my M4.  It worked great on my SBE II.  Did I order the wrong one.  I see they make one for the Nova/Supernova.  Is that the right one?  Their SKU number is the same on their web site.
