I too am noticing that trend in forums. The first post after the OP, sets the tone for the rest of them. If a person agrees or thinks the subject is cool, then so does most of the others. If the first response is negative, people jump on the bandwagon and take their jabs as well, with unbased input. It's like they are afraid of being "uncool" by the masses before them. I say go out, get the 1st hand experience, and come back with an honest evaluation. We need to come up with a catchy name for those "wagoneers".
Here is an example:
The posts about the new QB turkey vest in some of the forums have me rolling on the floor. I see all these kats talking about the blind part being cumbersome, getting caught on things,taking too long to deploy,etc. and they have never even been in the same zipcode of one, let alone held one or tried it on. Then I see posts from people who have gone to shows and held it, or actually bought one, and are happy with them.
I respect all people's opinions, but for Pete's sake, have a legit one! Is that too much to ask? That is a sure fire way to become a Forum Legend.

Very few people have had access to the H-13 chokes at this time, so most forum info is going to be second hand, or speculation. The chokes Mudhen has suggested are indeed awesome, and proven. The forums are also spot on. It will take a little while for the Hevi Chokes to make it into the muzzles of actual hunters and shooters who will post up pics and share legit stories.

Yes, I would like to know the choke that holds tight pattern at 60-80yards.
does anyone know the best choke for that ?
(i am mostly shooting at raven)
Just get you one of these, get them closer, and use a Mod choke.

Are you talking about the V shaped Chevrons on the stock? If so, then yes they do.
malakaz, the stuff dries, and is not oily then. It is good stuff.

I like to put this recoil pad coating by SVL on my Gel Pad and comb. It makes them nice and soft, yet don't get hung up on my face or clothes. Rain, snow and swampwater just run right off of it also.

I would go as far as to say that you should have no problem using it in a Ranger. It would be smart to contact H-13 and get their take on it, just to be safe. I would be more concerned about my choke choice, if it took tubes than the bbl itself. Only tubes rated for steel or Non-Toxic loads should be used.

Cold in Florida is right! It has been a bit crazy this past week. The duck action has been hit or miss, but def. slower than last year.
Sat morning we had sleet that lasted almost all day..
I know it isn't much, but it was pretty neat hunting in Fl, with such bizzare weather. I felt like I was back hunting in Pennsylvania, at least for one day!

Has anyone heard about the new version of Hevi-13, called Magnum Blend? This stuff has been designed to add speed to the original H-13, and icrease the pattern density by adding pellet count.
Along with the new loads that have been in development for quite a while, are a new line of choke tubes to maximize the shells.
Exciting stuff!

Before anyone can answer your questions, people need to know what you will be using the gun for.
If you're going to be shooting clays in the back yard, Max-4 is not required. If you want to hunt turkeys, or go tactical, a Supernova is the way to go, as you can change the stock to a Pistol Grip version.

Just in time, all the 2010 calls and products were launched yesterday, so there will be some buzz going on. I'm pretty excited, we have a new turkey vest out, some cool new predator calls, and even a line of calls for girls called Quaker Girl!

Just drill a small hole with the apropriate bit, on the bottom of the stock, about two inches from the tip of the recoil pad(Where most posts are normally) and install the post. You can then use a swivel on both ends of the gun, and can remove it whenever you want. A gunsmith can do this for under $20 for you(post included).
