  1. nice set up for sure. you know something i don't? expecting trouble? seriously , nice drawage. glad i bought a couple hundred of those fl con feds to. gonna test some out. using up a bunch of le hornady lately.
  2. i'm just trying to find out what model of the 6 or so m4's that have evolved i have. the bbl reads tm16--- with a yo1---- serial number. pretty sure it's a regular m4 . not a 1014. came with one ,installed choke and it appears to be knotched for removal. the m1014's choke don't come out i believe. also i think i have my answer on installing or not installing a benelli, factory +2 ext on my m4. it's illegal to have a pg sg with a cap of more than 5 , correct? i only paid a hundred bucks or so for it . i really wanted to install it but not if it's illegal... somehow i don't think it will be hard to sell it for a profit. i believe there are several variations of the m4. after owning mine for a year , i am now becoming interested in what mine might be. it's still unfired. bought it for my son the detective. as he rises up through the ranks i thought it would make a nice gift along with a 1973 3" ,nickel python i aquired recently. i bought it(the m4) for $1250.00 at a local gun show . nib with the telescoping stock. there was only one m4 at this large venders table , actually i only seen this one at the whole show so i instantly picked it up being there as soon as the doors to the show opened. thats a great price for any variation. i own a supernova tactical so i know how great benelli's are. i was hoping it(the m4) was a heavy bbl'd ,1014 but i think not at this point. i'm lovin it anyway. i kept the label on the box but i'm sure the numerical on the bbl tells the story. now i have to get cofirmation on the legalities of a +2extension and a pg stock. i think i rather keep the telesc stock on it because i hung a mesa 8 shell carrier on it and that seems to make up for the lack of a +2 ext. thanks waltershumate2 , appreciate the help. as for you , proffessor of english , mostly women own montefeltro's because of the extra slim grip. thats the one benelli i would'nt own. why not buy the super black eagle? to thick for your grip? hands to small? you wanna correct my spelling to? come down off your high horse and learn how to be a little nicer in the way you speak to and about people. if you wanna teach the english language , go on another site. people can make mistakes you know. we are'nt filing tax returns here... lighten up. give it a break. if your ever in brooklyn , look me up and i'll give you an english lesson... fuget abot it!
  3. i get alot more smoothness in feeding and chambering from my snt. my 870mm is ok but rough around the edges. they both are not used enough yet to call them broken in but the snt came ootb smooth as silk. no hang ups at all. the 870 still after 100 rds has some rough chambering. i really have to slam it. the snt just requires nice steady to light pressure pumping it. love this damm snt...one haned operation is awsome. the knoxx breachers grip on the 870 offers a bit more comfort. as you can tell , i'm a pg guy. i wish they made a snt-h20. i would consider selling the rem but not the snt. i am not selling either but if i was to sell anything it would be the rem , never the snt. the rem cost almost twice as much. news flash , my mossy 500 cruiser runs smoother than all of em ! my m4 i don't even let anyone touch ,never the less think of selling it. sorry for going off the topic.
  4. trying to find out two things. first , what the legalities are concerning the ban on a pistol gripped equipped sg that holds more than 5 rounds. i won't install my ben factory +2 without being sure. second , what variation(model) of m4 do i have of the several that have been made. the 1014 , 11707 , 117whatever?
  5. how it compares is a harder quest to answer. my snt has out gunned my 870mm big time. accuracy , smoothness of feed , accuracy , balance ,accuracy... i actually like my 870mm v much but it periodically becomes rough to feed. no ftf's on either. 2 great sg's. snt is what i would reach for first. jmo.
  6. answer found , thanks for nothin . lucky i wasn't drowning
  7. is the full capacity on the m4 with a 7rd magazine 9rds ? if so then 1 rd sits on the lifter arm just like the one that sits in the firing chamber while the mag still has 7 in it. CORRECT ?
  8. i hear the phrase "the m4 holds 9 rounds" . they say yuou can keep a shell in every possible position. meaning a full7 in the mag tube , a shell in the firing chamber thats 8 rds , and my question is can you actually keep a shell in the position of being on the lifter arm? you know , the spot on the lifter in between the next round to come out of the magazine and the shell in the firing chamber. thats the 9 round capacxity positioning i heard about. i am worried that the m4 will not be able to cycle flawlessly with a shell in every position possible on the gun. i am new to semi auto's. my 2 year old rem 1100 tact 2 is still in the hard case i put it in when i brought it home. never shot this (my) m4 yet. i did take a couple of shots at the range with some guys gun he said i could try. not familiar with the m4 enough to know what it can and can't do. love my m4... thanks and happy holidays to all.
  9. my mossbergs have survived just as well as any of my 870's or 1100's. if they mean alot to ya , don't ding em up. my m4 will do as well as any 10 year old alumminum gun i got.
  10. didn't really need the rail it comes with but the shell carrier from mesa tact has a real quality look to it so i got it. as opossed to the &30.00 ones that just have those sharp corners and metalic look. this mesa carrier is thick with a nice tight solid look. just wish i could get a knoxx breachers grip on my m4. i would switch this collapseable stock right out for a knoxx. maybe someday
  11. good info . good question thanks
  12. i'll get started and jump in and say yes my east coast bought m4 holds 5 and my +2 extension is on the way. that makes 7 plus 1 in the chamber if you choose to live dangerously and 1 on the carrier arm. thats 9 to fill every possible space on the shotgun. which brings me to my question that caused me to join this knowledgeable forum. can you keep a cartridge on the carrier arm while 1 is in the firing chamber and the mag is full to capacity??? will the gun cycle correctly by having every possible space on the gun occupied with a cartridge. just got the m4 several days ago at an awsome gun show and paid & 1300.00 for her. she came with 2 stocks , the adjustable and the full pistol grip stock too. good price huh? nice to be here people with all my fellow benelli addicts. well at least i am. got the nova h2o the supernova from 2006 the m1 i sold and i plan on getting another m4 in febuary , if my wife don't throw me out first. but you see if i get another m4 and it looks eactly like my recent m4 purchase , all i got to do is keep it in the safe and only take 1 out at any given time. that just means i can't get the desert camo model. oh well another tactical black m4 won't be so bad. a good women and 2 m4's , i'm truly blessed.
