WTS: Surefire 617 Benelli M1 Super 90 Tactical Light
FieldGunner replied to FieldGunner's topic in Benelli
Sent you an email. -
Should be fine out to 40 yards or more as long as you hold steady. I recommend patterning a few rounds first. I wish I would have had mine last weekend rather than my SBE. I couldn't get my 26" barrel manuevered around the brush in front of me to get a shot. I had my friend shoot the Tom instead. What kind of eotech are you running?
-
I agree with KG22122 and Tucker301. I am right-handed, but shoot left-handed due to my left eye being dominant. I can shoot both, but it feels much more natural to shoot left-handed. That being said, you need to pick what is right for you...when it comes to using your eyes and coordination of your left or right hand. If you do go left, you shouldn't have any issues with shells ejecting out to the right.

Lowered Price: $150 plus $8 shipping to CONUS -
Good Point BoJack and going forward, I will porbably not be shooting hevi-shot through my standard chokes. It is not worth damaging the chokes and possibly my barrel!

WTS: Surefire 617 Benelli M1 Super 90 Tactical Light. Fits Benelli M1 Super 90 shotguns serial no. M104801 and higher. This light came with a M1 S90 tactical that I bought, but I never used it. It is in excellent condition, in original box with papers. 6 volt system. I picked up fresh batteries. Pics available. $160 plus $8 shipping to CONUS.

Wow BoJack...seems like you took it personal ("Hevi Shot is harder than steel!!!!!") when I doubted you when you said Hevi Shot was harder than steel. I am glad that I started off my reply with "I may be wrong, but..." Congratulations!!!!!!!!!

Interesting. I am not going to sit here and write that I am right and someone else is wrong about what chokes and shells to use, but I would like some more people to put their 2 cents in. Because I have shot at least two boxes (20+ rounds) through my SBE with a benelli turkey choke. I believe the diameter is .675 (if I remember right). All I end up with is dead turkeys...
-
I may be wrong, but I don't believe Hevi shot is harder than steel. Hevi-shot is heavier and more dense, but not harder. That being said, I don't believe you will have any issues running Hevi-shot through your factory chokes. At least I haven't had any issues running it through my SBE and M1 S90 field gun. Others, please weigh in on this subject.

What is a fair price for a Benelli M1 S90 tactical with GRS?
FieldGunner replied to FieldGunner's topic in Benelli
Can you all help me determine how to tell the difference between pre-ban and post ban on an M1 S90 tactical? -
Is your 511 mounted on an M4? If so, how is your cheek weld and what kind of stock do you have on it?

How do you tell if it is pre-or-post ban? -
What is a fair price for a Benelli M1 S90 tactical with ghost ring sights? Gun has 18.5 inch barrel and factory 2 shot benelli extension tube (with plug). Gun is used but in great condition. Comes with orignal box and papers.
-
Are you looking for the factory 2 shot tube? If so, check ebay or GB.

Nice pics. What model of Eotech do yo have mounted on it? Debating on whehter or not to put an Eotech on mine. Do you have a decent cheek weld?

Where to buy Standard M4 Field Stock and Fixed Pistol Grip Stock
FieldGunner replied to jjc7329's topic in Benelli
Not sure where to find an M4 field stock. If you find out where to get them, please let me know. There is an extension tube on gunbroker.com. Pricey...$300 (Supply vs. Demand), but maybe it is worth if you want factory Benelli. -
It is my understanding that a person may not have 2 or more of the following on a semi-auto shotgun or the gun will be illegal: collapsible stock pistol grip extension tube allowing more than 5 shells (exception: if you have a form 1? or if you have numerous (5?) American made parts on the gun) Assuming my understanding is correct (let me know if not), how are M1s and M2s legal with the factory pistol grip and factory extension tube and the M4 is illegal when you put an extension tube on it with collapsible pistol grip? I am sure I have missed this topic somewhere while spending nearly 3 hours on the cool website this weekend. Please educate me. FieldGunner

Great....well the reason I ask is because I have purchased a collapsible stock and I am trying to figure out what it will work on. Yes, I am going at this a little backwards, bought the parts and now figuring out what they will work on. I don't believe it will work on the M1014, but read that it will work on a M4 since the m4 has the necessary notches on the recycle can. Not sure if all m4's have the necessary knotches though?
