  1. I wanted an M2 and thats what I bought if I wanted another M4 I would have got one. I'm not here to argue but to make sure that certain folks understand that price isn't always the factor here. The whole M4 or bust just gets a bit old and thats all.

To be quite truthful I would take my old SuperNova with benelli extension over both.

  2. Who brought money into this and who started calling people cheap? (not I! I am poor as ****, college student :) )

All this aside, the only thing that kept you from getting an M4 was not being able to have the OEM tube? I think Kip's tube is far superior, as are SOCOMguy's. Did you purchase before either of these two were making their tubes?

    - If you look in this and most M2 vs M4 threads someone always mentions price.

    - Call me crazy but **** will freeze over before I heat the **** out of a $1400 gun to add a magazine tube, that and for some reason I like to keep factory parts on a gun. I really wish that something could be changed so that Benellis came this way or had parts readily available to do so.

  3. When you use an extension that is equal with the endo of the barrel they will hold 7+1 assuming the spring is the right length.

I have tried two different Benelli extensions on my SNT:

    - Benelli + 1 tube = 6+1 with 2 3/4" shells

    - Benelli + 2 tube = 7+1 with 2 3/4" shells

Just a note I sold my SNT and still have a complete +1 Benelli tube for sale.

  4. With that being said who is so cheap that they are shooting loads with less than 2 3/4 dram eq. anyway? If M4 owners want to claim M2 owners cannot afford the M4 why are they the ones shooting low dram eq. ammo?

When it comes down to it if I would have been able to pick up a M4 with a full length mag. tube right of the shop floor my decision would have been different.

  5. Z06 gives you dry-sump oil system, C6 is wet-sump.

Z06 gives you less weight by around 100#.

Z06 gives up 1 or 2 MPG IIRC.

The Z06 runs high 11's all day, the C6 low 12's to mid 12's.

    Z06 will out-brake and out-handle the C6

Not to return to cars but it's more interestin than the last few posts.

    - The dry sump is only a plus if you race the car on a weekly basis.

    - 1LT Z51 = 3190lbs vs 1LZ Z06 = 3196lbs

    - The LS7 does only give up a few MPG

    - Correct

    - My car is a Z51 so that margin is minimal

But once again if you really compare M4 to M2 vs Z51 to Z06 the Z06 does a few things better where as the M4 does nothing better than the M2.;)

  6. Back to the original topic here which was M4 vs M2 and here is my viewpoint:

    - First of all it irritates me when some of you make it sound like the M2 is a poor mans semi-auto.Once you remove price gougers less than $300 seperate the M2T and M4. I could have bought two of each yet brought an M2 home so........

    - Both are durable enough to deal with anything anyone here is going to dish out to pretend like the M4 is built better in this regard goes right along with the cost argument.

This whole M4 vs M2 is just like my car which is a 2007 Corvette Z51 most people love it and know it's fast yet you always get the one guy who says why didn't you buy the Z06.

  7. What model year of M3 is it or should I say plastic or metal follower?

If it is plastic I would just say screw it and try to force it out if it's stuck in the added tube just unscrew it and push it out. If it is stuck in the standard mag. do the same just make sure you go from reciver out through tube.

  8. Around here (Nebraska) I have seen a recent overstock of M1's on the shelves of Scheels, Bass Pro and Cabelas. They are all 2004-2006 models so I am assuming that they were sitting on shelves until the " November 2008 gun crisis " and are now a cheap substitute for the M2 & M4.

  9. Well my last post went to **** because I was way to busy with work so I will give it another try.

    - 5 boxes (15 rounds) of Winchester Super X 2 3/4" 00 buckshot - $9ea.

    - 1 box (5 rounds) of Winchester Super X 2 3/4" Power Point Slugs - $5

Add $8 for shipping since it must go UPS ORM-D.

  10. You're right it is the people paying the high prices that are keeping them high to begin with. The same goes for gasoline if people would quit being so passive those wouldn't sky rocket either.

The ammo prices have gone from being irritating to down right pissing me off. You gotta have some pretty big balls to ask what some of the folks on GB sell even FMJ target/training ammo.

  11. Too bad Gunbroker is one of the main reasons you can't find stuff on the shelves. The only thing worse than a damn hoarder is someone who buys the stuff up to sell for massive profit. Or as it seems many of the people on there selling ammo are shops making a profit rather than selling to a customer.

When I change calibers or sell a gun and nol longer need my ammo I sell it for what I paid plus shipping. I would prefer to have friends after this shortage rather than a fat wallet.

  12. Collapsible stocks are a bling item pretty much. The full-length tubes can be had as cheap as $100 (for a good one).

A gun like the M4 shouldn't need a high capacity tube added when it carries a MSRP of $1500. Not to mention I won't buy a non OE tube much less do what it takes to install one. But I guess this is what you have to deal with when it comes to imported guns.

  13. Here is my viewpoint:

As much as people here would love to belive the M4 is the end all it really isn't. Sure it is used in LE and Military service operations but so are many other shotguns.

I myself would love to replace my departed SNT with a M4 but to make it how I want will turn it into a $2,000 gun. If it came like it should in 6+1 capacity and people weren't gouging on collapsable stocks I would own one tommorow.

  14. - Both extension kits are 100% Benelli

    - The tactical case will fit any Benelli tactical shotgun with 18" barrel

    - As much as I would love to be flexible on prices I can't budge, I am already losing alot on the extensions. When it comes to the tactical case there are only two in the US available including mine.

  15. Well guys I have parted with my last shotgun for a new S&W M&P15 so I am clearing out my Benelli accesories. As with my ammo for sale I am not out to gouge just make back what I spent.

    - Benelli Supernova/Nova +1 extension kit. When using 2 3/4" shells the capacity is raised to 6+1. Includes tube, longer spring, nut/adapter and end cap - $75

    - Benelli M1/M2/M3/SBE +2 extension kit. This kit includes a +2 tube M2 style barrel nut/adapter & sling mount, clamp, spring and end cap. - $80

  16. I sold my last 12ga and have some excess ammunition to get rid of, as always I am not out to gouge just to recover what I spent.
