  1. Duggan - appreciate your comments; I've got an opportunity to purchase one with the 'factory' extended tube and field stock. Seller is the second owner and indicates the first owner (LEO?) either did the conversion or purchased it that way; no other parts (pistol grip/mag tube came with shotgun) I've seen pictures of the tube as it installs into the receiver and it looks fine(but what do I know) - just didn't want to get into a bind with a frankenstein after it was all said and done

922R - one just never knows..........:)

  2. thanks for the input; one of the concerns is with 922R compliance; I confess to not having a very good understanding of all the ins/outs of 922R, but as I understand it, the addition of an extended mag tube + pistol stock exceeds the allowable count - with a field stock & extended mag tube, one meets the compliance rules - again, I'm not even close to understanding the rule.

The other concern is to try to quality the quality of the install if the factory tube was installed after the fact. From what I see here, the install is not really for beginners to try.

Appreciate all the input I can get - thanks

  3. Did the M4 ever come from the factory w/the field stock and extended magazine tube? Receiver is marked L.E. and was a 2007 model? Can't tell if this is factory or a conversion.

Sent Benelli CS an email, but they are off for the holidays.

    Thx

  4. Might want to do a quick search on the errornet for some additional advise; fit is going to be very important for accuracy for you - if you send me your email, I'll send you some pdf files from some of my shotgun books.

  5. If I'm reading my manual correctly (I expect the setup is similar), the DX spacer goes between the stock and the receiver; the C plate goes at the end of the stock to align the stock with the respective DX spacer installed between the stock & receiver. Don't know if this is accurate for your M2 - don't think any gap is good as the plastic shims will probably crack under recoil.

  6. Hello all!

I have an 11707 M4 with LE marked on the right side of the receiver under the receiver opening. I called LE Sales out of Texas where I got it and he said that it is a rare marked receiver and only about a dozen of these made it to the states. This one does not have the engraved flag on it like the M1014's. If true; don't doubt him - what do the experts say here. Have not assembled it or shot it. Anybody interested in it?

Hello Michael - interested - got a price in mind? Got an old rusty NIB P9S 9mm combat as trade bait

    Thx
