  2. A superb transaction with netsecsys - barrel was spotlessly cleaned, extremely well packed along with very fast shipping and excellent communications! Bravo Zulu Sir
  3. If I recall correctly, Kip sustained some significant hand injuries and his wife has some serious cancer issues. Been awhile since I've kept up with things and hopefully they both are doing well
  4. No affiliation w/seller http://www.botach.com/benelli-70085-m4-collapsible-stock-assembly/ I've had mixed dealings with Botach over the years - at one point everything ordered went on backorder and was never delivered, then, about a year or so ago, they seemed to get better and in stock items actually shipped. YMMV
  5. Nicely done - thanks for sharing your pictures
  6. Reported to be scammer - sorry folks

  8. One of the suggestions offered by Benelli on the M1's with similar issue was to leave the shotgun 'cocked' for a day or so to put pressure on the recoil spring. Might accomplish the same thing by running some hot loads through it to break it in a bit.
  9. Unobtanium - very nicely done - thanks for sharing
  10. Thanks for the heads up - Numrich shows them available, key 126, for $155 https://www.gunpartscorp.com/Manufacturers/Benelli-33150/Shotguns-35372/Semi-AutoShotguns-40729/M4Super90-40596.htm?page=7
  11. rbuzz - that would be spring of 2015 or 2016?
  12. Ran a recent 3 gun match and my bolt charging handle "disappeared". Have one from FFT but would prefer Kips Thanks
  13. Good advise by HopetonBrown - make sure it works well, check how it patterns, try different chokes, etc. You have already invested in the funds for the class, a bit more on quality ammo will be one thing less to worry about during the class.
  14. http://www.ruger.com/micros/advocacy/ Dear (Recipient), I am a law-abiding citizen and responsible gun owner. I am saddened by the tragic events in Newtown, Connecticut, but I believe that efforts to impose new restrictions on me and other lawful and responsible owners like me are misguided. Did you know that violent crime with firearms has declined since the Federal "assault weapons ban" expired in 2004? Your focus should be on strengthening mental health care and improving the quality of data supporting NICs checks (National Instant Criminal Background Check System). Do NOT pass more gun laws; instead, work to enforce the more than 20,000 gun laws already on the books. I am your constituent and I vote. Please represent me. Sincerely, (Your Contact Information

  16. Huff64 - good decision; while it may sting the wallet for now, you'll look back a year or so from now and congratulate yourself for making the choice on the M4 - enjoy.
  17. Nicely done, Sir. Have you had a chance to try the Federal LE132 in your testing?
  18. Shell has enough energy to extract the spent casing; replacement shell on deck; recoil spring is driving bolt forward and 'pushes' on deck shell into barrel - where is the replacement shell hanging? I'm a little fuzzy on the mechanics of the operation, but I don't think the replacement shell will present itself to be loaded until the bold has cycled properly - if the replacement shell is somewhat 'caught' by the bolt on the recharge, perhaps there is insufficient recoil energy meaning the bolt isn't retracting fully to allow a full recoil - is your gun stock? Nothing extra to impinge recoil moment?
  19. Any updates with the replacement part?
  20. smeck - nice job with the pictures - good process of elimination as well. Probably just a bad cap and the new one will be fine.
  21. Don't think the tab has any influence on the damage to the cap - it is stationary and just hold the cap in place. Can you push the cap down easily? No binding etc when it moves down? If it moves freely, I would suspect a defective cap. The gouge in the center appears to coincide with the impact point of the hammer - high load point. The hole area would be a bit weaker having less surface area to handle the load - if the cap "tube" would have too much grease in it, maybe it could not move fast enough or had too much resistance - I think the hole is a vent hole similar to the screw on the back of an AR stock letting air move when the buffer moves - if the "tube" the cap moves in has too much grease/oil, maybe it does not retract properly and has too much resistance to the hammer and therefore the gouging of the metal.
