I've had really good luck with Galco's BATTL Sling for Benelli... http://www.usgalco.com/HolsterP3.asp?ProductID=3088&CatalogID=404 Very sturdy, configurable, options for different carrying techniques and shooting scenarios.

Never mind... missed "Ohio's" ongoing thread :-~

Haven't done a detailed cleaning yet, but what about a dental pick?

My last 10 years active duty was in the "Peoples Draconian State of MD" and weapons had to be "secured" in a separate compartment from you and the ammo. I was also a member of the local, very busy rescue squad and my vehicle would sometime end up in “interesting” neighborhoods. Also, if I were in an accident, as Unobtanium sez, the interested party that would scavenge your vehicle would at least be frustrated for a while. Even now that I’m in a free state, I still carry over those old habits for those weapons that aren’t readily available anyway.

I use cable locks when transporting weapons. I always meant to buy the Benelli breech locks for the shotguns because I think they would have been easier & cleaner to use vice the cable locks that usually gets caught on the carrier... I guess I waited too long. In searching around, I did find that Gun Vault will have a breech lock soon: http://www.gunvault.com/breechvault.nxg

Beneli's web site/store use to have breech safety locks for 20 & 12 ga. They are no longer available and customer service was unable to tell me who the vendor was. Does anyone know who made them or if they are still available somewhere else? THANX!!!

Please see http://www.kniferights.org for info on a pending CBP restriction of knives :-~

I had my 12ga Nova for a year before I bought a 20ga Nova for the boys... Right out of the box, I assembled the gun minus the barrel and just cycled the crap out of action with no lube. I did this well beyond when I first started to see wear marks. After I did this a few times, I cleaned & lubed it and it cycles much smoother than the 12 ga. I use Prolix and Militec.

EXTREMELY happy with the Ti tube and very high quality spring!!! Kip - Tell 'em why you need the longer spring...
-
10.8 oz for OEM tube w/ extension 5.4 oz for Ti tube

I bought a 4 rd extension for my Nova (26" barrel) at www(dot)surecycle(dot)com Perfect fit & length, better spring than OEM. It's great for those large round count 3-gun stages!!! ;-)

The Militec MSDS on their web site sez there are no carcinogenics... "The materials in this product are not known to be carcinogenic or contain grater than 0.1 % carcinogenic compounds which would require reporting under the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard 29 CFR 1910.1200."
