  1. OK! Great information and I appreciate all who responded. I have new Cordoba BUT GAnder Mountain sent me home with 4 CRIO PLUS and the gun requires CRIO (1 was in the barrel)! Waiting for them to decide how they will resolve the problem. The obviously gave my proper choke tubes to someone who will not be able to use them! I stay with Extended. However, the CRIO extended markings are so small that my old eyes can barely see them!
  2. What are the advantages, if any, of extended (non-ported)over flush mounted choke tubes other than easy to remove? Usage on Cordoba for hunting, trap, skeet.
  3. From one Hoosier to another! Same thing was happening to a friend's SBE II today! He thinks like you the chamber needs to be cleaned with a brush. Shooting many 2 &3/4" in a 3.5" chamber?

    Cordoba shims

Good suggestion! I shot 125 rounds fo skeet today. I agree the B shoots higher than Win. Took me a bit to get used to it but otherwise a great gun.
  5. Just tried them in a friend's SBE II and they work fine! I did not know it but Cordoba uses different choke. That means dealer gave my tubes to the wrong person and I have his! Will call them on Monday!
  6. Are choke threads of Cordoba at surface or recessed? Mine are at surface of barrel.
  7. The choke threads inside the barrel come to the TOP of the barrel! For the 4 chokes that do not fit, the threads would need to be some inside the barrel! I can NOT find an exact match for the choke that does fit when I search Benelli web.
  8. Brand new in the box! From Gander Mountain. I just discovered the ones that do not fit have threads starting about 3/4" down on the choke while the one that fits has threads starting at the top! Also did some measuring and know for sure tha wrong ones are larger diameter!
  9. Help! I have a new Cordoba. Tried to change choke tubes this morning and NONE work other than the IC tube that was in the gun!

    Cordoba shims

I have 3 shims in the bag that came with the gun: Z, A, and C. NO D! Do I assume the shim on the gun is B? Do not want to take apart just to find out. I have shot Win. Model 12 for 30+ years. It has drop at heel of 1.875 inches. Benelli advertises Cordoba drop at heel of 2 inches. The booklet supplied is in mm. Thus it seems shim B at 55 mm would actually be 2.17 inches... Is this a correct assumption? If so, I may need to replace shim B with Shim A.

    Cordoba LOP

I may go to a gunsmith, but first I'll try it with the extra pad. I did shoot a SBE and it seemed fine but I did not know it had greater LOP. Thanks@
  12. Whatever the Vinci does, it will be costly. I found new Cordoba on clearance, 30" bbl for $1170.
  13. So far the Cordoba handles low brass just fine! Tried 1145 speed REM. Gun Club along with low velocity AA, worked perfectly.
  14. I have a friend with SBE2, left hand version (I am right handed) which I have shot and it seemed great. I just bought a Cordoba and have shot only 15 rounds as that was enough to tell me I needed longer LOP. Otherwise I like the Cordoba.
  15. For what it's worth on dimensions; I just bought a new Cordoba. Needed to add decelerator slip-on pad to get enough LOP, just like I do with both my Model 12s. I am 6'2" with longer arms. I am not yet certain just how or if those shims supplied with the gun would change it. I got recoil on the cheek the first few rounds, before adding the decelerator, same with Model 12s.

    Cordoba LOP

I have the 14 & 3/8" pad. I added a Decelerator pad just like I do with my Model 12. I think that will help but need to go shoot to know for sure. Also, how do I find the EXACT LOP, Drop at Heel and Comb etc? I see various numbers used. Thanks!

    Cordoba LOP

Just shot new Cordoba today. LOP is not enough with standard recoil pad. I compared it to my Win. Model 12 and I need more length. What is the best way to add length?
