    M4 Sight Nut

well thats what I used. is it really a very low torque type thing, because mine stripped at about hand tight. the fit of that wrench just seems a little off. almost like it needs to a be a 5.25mm wrench.

    M4 Sight Nut

I asked this before but have yet to get an answer, has anyone been able to get an actual specific size wrench for the front sight nut on an M4 shotgun? I can't get a hold of anyone at Benelli that seems to know this... Looking for an exact size wrench, I am sure one exists, how would they put them on at the factory... [email protected]
  3. so why havent more people done this? like I said I really dont want a change out the handguards, I think mounting a rail to the stock ones wouldnt be that bad. will it really be that bubba? i however was planning to mount it to the flat spot closer towards the barrel. anyone else done this?
  4. **** i paid 900 for mine, and i hate railed forends, i just want a little spot with A rail on it. in fact i buy surefire direct and i still dont really want one.
  5. Anyone ever tried to bolt a small rail onto the flat part, about 3:00 on the stock M4 handguards. I was thinking about bolting a small rail onto the right handguard, theres about a 3/4" flat spot I think it would fit. Im sure someones already tried this. Second question, in case I muff this up, where can I get some replacement stock m4 handguards.
  6. the one i saw, i want to say was on a supernova or something like that, and didnt have a rail system other than the top rail
  7. Anyone seen one? I saw a picture of something that looked like one, maybe it was on a m2, I don't remember where, it was like a M3 mounted 3:00 on the receiver.
  8. ok fine ill leave it be, but one last question does the nut go on, flat side up, or rounded side up. the nut has a rounded side, with some clear stuff inside of it, i couldnt get that side to go on first so i went flat side first. excuse me, now i know what a nylock nut is, so does the nylon part go first or the plain part
  9. i just wish there was a clear answer to this. i have the new nut tightened on there but its not very tight. i want to tighten it down but 5.5 is going to round it off. what is the actual size, i wish i had some calipers.
  10. benelli usa just told me on the phone it was a 3mm wrench...
  11. Anyone seen a different wrench other than the set at sears? the sears set is so thin i think that helps it round off the nut. a thicker wrench would be better.
  12. Thanks, now here is the hard part I have to take the rounded one off, not to mention i put a dab of red loctite on there... i know.... i guess i will just heat it up and try to use that same 5.5 ignition wrench again. ANY ideas on a better wrench?
  13. I chewed the **** out of the nut that holds the front sight blade on there when replacing it. I think I was using a 5mm or 5.5mm ignition wrench. Is there anywhere I can find a better wrench and a replacement nut?
  14. I wont use it very much, so any thoughts on the specter line? or the wilderness line?
  15. What seems to be the standard in a two or three point sling for the M4? Something that will utilize the factory attachments and wont roll over on the user.
  16. how do you remove that tube? heat?
  17. anyone have a picture of a notched one and an unnotched one?
  18. Ok, what I think I actually need to know is, how can I tell if I have the multiple position buffer tube, and what will happen if i put a coll stock on a non coll tube.
  19. So a friend from Beretta/Benelli said they could get me a collapsable stock. How can I tell if my m4 will accept one? Is there a part that goes over the recoil tube and has the notches or does my tube have notches on it? Let me know!
  20. poppa beretta gave beretta to one kid, benelli to another, i think beretta handles all the LE stuff, and benelli does all commercial. that said beretta does benellis le stuff.
  21. ok good, so there is a possibility that the barrel wont match the receiver, great, thanks for all the help.
  22. Benelli M4 1) Is the serial on both the barrel and the receiver? I think my gun is a Frankenstein, not that it matters. 2) Is the front sling attachment point supposed to be a little loose? 3) When assembled should the gas pistons move around a little? When I shake it around I can hear something loose moving around. The carrier moves well and all seems to function well.
  23. so for a full length tube is mine too short then?
