  1. I'm really close to pulling the trigger on a new Vinci and wanted to get a question

    addressed.

I have seen a couple of instances where people thought the gun shot high. indicating possibly 100% high. Has that been the experience of other Vinci owners ? The design llooks like the

recoil effect could be kicking the barrel up . Even though the recoil direction is in-line, it still is

looks like it could kick up slightly. I am planning on using the gun for turkey hunting and

with magnum loads, the recoil effect would be magnum as well,

mine took allitle adjusting but now its as dead on to the bead as you can get we patterned it dead on, we lasered it dead on the bead, its really smooth ive compared the muzzle jump with my friends ported trap perazzi and his perazzi has the same or more muzzle jump and were not talking much its not enough to effect anything and to me its the same with duck loads my 3in steel shells and my 2 and three quarter inch trap loads feel ditto to my arm and I would say the same muzzle jump not much at all, really a great gun definetly your gonna get allitle more jump with the sbe2 (my friend has one). the vinci does do the trick for hunting and sporting im a competitive trap shooter and people laugh when im shooting a field gun but when I beat people in their 60s who have been shooting for years they start liking my gun:rolleyes:. good luck with the decision.

  2. now this may be just me but ive found out with hunting if i dont use the sights and this sounds dumb but if i shoulder the gun and look at the bird itll hit if i use my sight it can be a gamble but with trap i have to use my sight i dont know why its different but it is haha,

  3. Hang on, Mofugra... VINCIshooter poster obviously has not yet discovered girls. Yes, it is a tattooed LADY (not a guy) in the add and the new weapon looks similar to those tattoos in the illustration. . Most folks will figure out that this IS indeed a female in the tattooed add. VINCIshooter is an avid shotgunner with shotgun knowledge above his years, but quite young and doesn't yet have an "eye" for this sort of thing! I know him from previous encounters.

Upland for sure. If it's lighter... I'm interested... I'm old... retired...and tired. Lighter is better on 4-5 hour upland bird hunt at my age.

ok ok i see now i wasnt paying much attention my computer was freezing up and i only saw like the first image when its loading, the add is kinda interesting like the vincis but not as much "adrenaline" or hype, i think the gun will be nice especially for older people i know alot of people who cant upland hunt anymore because of the fact that there autos are too heavy, but for me i love fancy engraving and all but the vinci meets my needs and more, i hope benelli doesent remove all of the vincis cool promos though:rolleyes:
  4. No, I have a RnT short barrel. Love the call. I just had it tuned by Butch himself at Stuttgart. Now, if we only had any ducks! SLow start - due to the rain, many farmers did not get the crops out of the fields until late and fields are just being flooded. Season just closed until December 10th.

we just started getting ducks to come down its been really slow up till yesterday my dad and grandpa got 11, my dad hit one today and I fired three shots missed em all, my dad did get a nice blue wing teal. and im still waiting on my call because the guy tuning it and getting it has been in stuttgart at the world championship hes been blowing rnts for 20 yrs i believe so ill give him time he knows how to get it ready for my conditions, i should be getting it tommorow he was trying to get a limited edition for me but i dont know whats going on with that.

  5. how often do you clean your guns? and does it have a signifigent effect on the preformance of the weapon?

my dad tought me to clean it every time its used weather I put 1 or 1000 rounds threw it, its worked out good so far:D

  6. I think so too. I wonder if they will use the vinci three piece design an other guns in the future? I kinda doubt that this new one will have it though

this one definatly wont because you can see the cap im sure the next waterfowl gun of benellis will have three peice its really nice for cleaning.

  7. i saw theres a new benelli claims its the lightest auto loading shotgun in the world, im guessing its no waterfowl gun definetly upland game, i think its a lighter ultra light probably nothing fancier than that. i figure vinci is the new waterfowl gun and they want a new upland gun out too.

  8. hey i got a new rnt daisy cutter acrylic the other day and its being tuned by the local rnt elite caller that lives in my town so i have to wait, and I was wondering if any of you guys have used one and how you like it?

  9. I have an American M2 and I believe it has the Crio chokes and I am looking at getting a Kicks High Flyer choke and I am trying to figure out which one to get. They offer one that says Benelli/SBE II and one that says Benelli/Beretta MC3. Any info would be appreciated.

    -dbnorton

its 110% the sbe2 one I have it for my vinci and the choke is awsome i know it is for a fact couse my friend paterned it in his m2 and another in his sbe

  10. I dont see much special about it I dont like the extrema 2 i had to shoot to the left of the target to hit anything berretas are however great guns but I dont plan on needing a new gun for atleast 5 years this gun will be nothing in five years the vinci will stay a conversation peice. I still cant wait till someone at my trap club gets one of these so I can try it out:D

  11. I'd do it if I had to, but I've never had to.

Anyone who does so out of choice is ridiculously careless and unsafe.

I know a guy who used his when his boat motor quit on him and my friend uses his as a gun of course a walking stick, a oar, a cripple stomper, and whatever else its needed for and his gun looks good as new I baby my gun too much for that

  12. I just bought a new 28 inch SBE II 12 Gauge...

Now I am thinking about putting a patternmaster on it.

Are there any folks here that use this combination and if so what model patternmaster do you use?

you cant use black cloud with it just saying itl be no bueno:cool:

  13. Well, I just made the switch from Mossberg to Benelli and it's a whole different world. I had a Camo Mossy 500 Combo, and a Mossberg 500 Tactical Persuader. I sold them both and picked up the Long Grass Camo Nova, and the Black Synthetic Nova Tactical.

I am looking into a trap shooting league and with my Mossberg I always getting 24/25 couldnt get that perfect score. I just took out the Nova to get ready for Pheasant hunting and now I shot 11/25 for the 1st time out tonight. I have never shot a Benelli before and it's a smooth gun, racks much smoother and feels 100% better than my older ones. I hope this is just beginners bad luck with the gun... I was using a Modified Choke in both the Mossberg and Benelli with Federal Target loads for trap and sporting clays.

Going from a 24/25 to a 11/25 is humbling.. Is this due to the barrel being new and it needs to be broken in? Or just becuase it's a new gun that I am firing for the 1st time.

same situation with my vinci I shoot trap 3-4 times a week usually a 4 or 5 rounds, and I used to shoot a 870 wingmaster my dad gave me and it shot great but it was wearing down being 45 years old and shooting it soo much and I want it to last so my dad got me the gun of my dreams the vinci and i went out and missed the first five on station two and i ended up shooting a 15 pretty bad so we patternd it and i just adjusted to it and the other night i shot a 25 in the wind with a full choke I was pretty happy with that and I been in the 20s pretty good I need to get my scores up for competition to all 25s and 24s, but my point is just keep at it and eventually everything just falls into place.
  14. A Doberman is a Working Dog, They can be taught to do just about anything and make great hunting companions. They did use german short haired pointers and weimerainers in their creation among other hunting dogs. Not to Mention they are the Official Dog of the United States Marine Corps, so they apply to all you HD shotgun owners as well.:D

Labs would do if we were only talking wing shooting....But labs are cool too!

dobermans are awsome too but im just a die hard wing shooter mainly waterfowl so to me lab fits anything haha:D

  15. I went to bass pro shop today and the guy working there happend to have the call case open for someone else so i had to go check out the "shiny" calls and one cought my eye the echo XLT in cocobolo wood, it blew nice feed calls real easy and somehow makes my feed calls sound a lot better, its 89.99 I think. it can get real loud and soft and ducky exactly what i been looking for. sopposabley works good for competition too wich im entering a comp next year so may be an advantage. price is allitle steep for me since my dad cut me off from buying duck calls:mad: after I bought 15 in one season:D. but i think il sneak it past him i just need 90 bucks. has anyone had any experience with this call?

  16. The catcher Birchwood Casey makes works great on any auto shotgun, a little bending and it catches every shell, i have one working on a 20 ga. Benelli super sport, It must be mounted flat to the reciever to work, and a slight bit lower on the opening.

I didnt like it it fits nice on sporting guns the guy who took it from me put it on his berreta trap, it dont fit field guns real well and if your serius shooter it can mess up your sight alignment

  17. hey I was just wondering what calls you guys use in the field. I carry my 30 dollar echo open water, my duo whistle, morwhistle, buck gardner double nasty, and my duck commander duck picker, and i keep an old style faulks pin whistle in my jacket " it was my great grandpas" so i keep it with me

im also using my costom call this year

  19. always, under fire again. it works period with wood guns just simply take the stock and forend offand start spraying, dont knock it till you try it wiping it works too but with the inline siystem you cant wipe the inside of the little metal tubes that are inside the spring, trapshooters idea may work for some guns though he sure likes trying to make me look stupid, myself have no hard feelings for trapshooter just agressive conversation:D

  20. It sounds like you need to buy a case of oil, and a funnell before you breakin your new Vinci. LOL... Is this a one shot deal with the oil flooding? I would hope so. Are you sure you don't use a special kind of shell? For all you Benelli shooters with Inertia systems, if you have a specific brand that works well bellow 1 1/8 oz, by all means, please share with us...:D[/quote

im serius! sounds dumb but it works its just walmart gun oil and just spray the heck outa it I did the same to my old wingmaster that wasnt pumping smooth enough now its smooth or smoother than a super nova, just one of my dads old tricks it works I did the same to my buddies sbe 2 we just sprayed the heck outa the action and now it cycles one ounce fine he hasnt had a prob in like a month, by the way he thought it was stupid too now he dont:cool:
