  1. Really? you still havent gotten used to it? I thought your record was 350 strait? What is being used to it 1,000,000,000,000 strait? I can smoke skeet with a mod choke to. I also remeber you saying the vinci had perfect balance for trap. An O/U has the perfect balance for trap because it has heavier barrels which makes it swing smoothly instead of quickly.

that was with my wingmaster I wasnt sopposed to shoot the vinci till after season so i tried it a few times 3 weeks ago and just this week i started on the vinci and o/u dont neccasarily have perfect balance i like the lighter guns for me and it swings much better than my friends perrazzi

  2. So does your cordoba kick less than than the SBE? Can you tell a major difference? I have looked at getting a Vinci since it is a pound lighter, but i am a little iffy since it is the first gun with the new system... I am curious about the Vinci's kick also, but not many people have shot one to compare between the three.

I am really trying to do some research before I drop such big $$$ on a new shotgun. I really wish there was a place around here I could test out the three guns, but no so fortunate!

kick what kick the vinci in my opinion has no kick at all compared to my wingmaster and my dads o/u the muzzle climb is less than a ported trap gun i had it tested and its the perfect weight for swinging threw the targets trap skeet or sporting clays and Im sure its gonna be a amazing duck gun I im gonna go pheasent and dove hunting this year so that will be interesting also along with my passion of duck hunting but the vinci is the real deal people think its gonna fall apart once you put it together u know its not coming apart its great you wont be dissapointed

  3. my vinci kicks less than my 20 guage remington 870 express I still havent gotten shooting it down completely but as soon as i do it will be amazing i can smoke the targets with a modified choke in my vinci now its just finding that shoulder spot i found out if i take too much time finding a spot i get it in the wrong spot so the faster i go the better my highest score with my vinci is a 23 with my 40 year old 870 wingmaster field model I can hit 25s I got a 50 straight at a competition in trap last week with my 870 but ill be just as good or better with my vinci plus my vinci has less muzzle jump then the ported trap guns so im happy

  4. He doesn't have to be smaller than you if he is unarmed and you have a shotgun ;)

yeah I live right by a soccer field type thing and I figured kids saw it and stole it fro fun and ditched it in the canal by our house but if i do see it and hes smaller ill get it back I wont need my shotgun:) and if hes bigger than me my dad will get it back hes like 5.11 but hes mean and tuff he walked up to gangbanger in the park raiding threw there bikes un armed and they were scared of him my dad fears no one!

  5. My ATA lifetime average is about 94.4% (about 23.6 per 25), but that includes some early years with very low averages when I first started. This doesn't include league and practice.

My best year was 2006 where I finished with a 95.75% average (23.9 out of 25.)

This season my average is 94.5% (97/100, 90/100 bummer, and 191/200.)

My best single score ever was 198 out of 200 at the Kansas State Shoot a few years back. Broke a 23 on the first 25, then 175 straight. Didn't even win me anything. At the big shoots, you have to be perfect, and even then, you finish in a tie and have to shoot off to determine the champion.

I like to think I'd be scoring better, but I just haven't been shooting as much as I had in the past. Less "disposable income" to spend on hobbies these days.

"... I was at the state qualifying shoot and I was surprised how bad some of the teams were..."

Are you shooting SCTP or AIM? If so, keep in mind these are kids who may have never picked up a shotgun for the first time until they joined their team. Don't be too harsh in your judgement of them. They're trying, and hopefully they're out there having fun. After all, this is still just a game, and having fun is what its all about.

Bummer about the bike Vinchshooter. That sucks.

thx I guess I really didnt need to post anything about it but I was soo ticked off at the time like ten minuts after we got back from searching for it still cant find it but it told my dad if hes smaller than me im getting my bike back:)

  6. I shoot 23 and 24s mostly but we all have "off days" like today was a bad day for two reasons I shot 20, 22, and 22 and my $600 mountain bike got stolen I packed it up to take to a shoot tommorow and it got jacked out of my dads pickup well what can you do maybe ill shoot better tommorow

  7. VINCIshooter- why do I doubt that you have a Vinci? You sound way to young to be able to afford a Vinci.

Personally I dont use the sights for waterfowl and skeet.

My dad got it for me for my graduation gift.

  8. When I first saw a picture of the Vinci, I just thought it looked different. That said, I’ve since warmed up to the looks. But I’m the kind of guy that’s more focused on performance than looks. I must admit I was really surprised by all the crying over the looks of the Vinci!

I never knew there were so many fashion divas out there shooting shotguns!:)

I know thats all there was about it was its ugly it dont look right its like be a man you nancy!:D atleast someones on the same page as me

  9. Getting the Vinci actually makes a lot of sense. Most of the guns mentioned in this thread (391 and 1100) retail for almost the same as a black Vinci and in my opinion, the Vinci surpasses these guns by a wide margin. For approximately $1,300 (Street Price) you get a hands down winner that can not only excel on the trap range, but do a host of other things exceptionally well.

The Vinci recoil reminds me of the 20 gauge I had as a kid but that's where the similarities end. Recoil and subsequent target acquisition is a well mannered and controlled. I’m also a huge fan of the trigger group ergonomics on this shotgun. The trigger pull is uniform, clean and consistent in a manner usually reserved for shotguns reworked at the gunsmith. Bringing this level of sophistication to a 6 pound 12 gauge shotgun is quite an accomplishment. This enables the Vinci to move from the field to the skeet, trap or sporting clay range with a consistent character that will bring a smile to your face. The fit and finish on the gun is superb and it cycles everything I’ve thrown at it without a jam or complaint. Clean-up is a breeze. I can take down this gun in 10 seconds and it is the easiest gun to clean that I have ever owned. Try that with a gas gun.

Beyond all this, you're going to love the Vinci because it’s a joy to shoot. Someone else put it best when they said that the biggest problem they had with the Vinci was keeping it loaded!

The longer I have this gun the bestter I like it – And isn’t that what it’s all about?

exactly the vinci is defenetly the best feild sporting gun crossover me and clayman both agree on this a gas gun could take an hour to clean this takes 5 minuts tops and much easier to work on than a sissy sporting gun

  10. At the skeet range today I fed 4 boxes of shells through my Vinci and my shoulder isn’t sore one bit. This gun does a whole lot of things right! Recoil is well mannered and controlled as advertized. I’m also a huge fan of the trigger group ergonomics on this shotgun. Moreover, the C shim has really improved the drop for me. Interestingly, I also received a few compliments on the looks of the gun today. Of course, one must remember all the negative comments about the Vinci’s looks come from people who have never actually seen one, held one or fired it – Go figure.

I’ve gone through well over a couple dozen boxes of shells now and haven’t had any problems whatsoever. The Vinci is a constant performer handling everything I’ve thrown at it.

The more I shoot this gun the better I love it .This feeling seems to be universal from everything I have read. The more people use this gun the more they love it.

the feelings mutual I put the c shim in too couse it was shooting 20 80 on the patterning board and that was way to high for my shooting, and your exactly right on the looks thing I got probably 10 guys that said it looked stupid to love it today so you dont shoot those sissy trap or skeet guns right?
  11. Im thinking of putting a tom knapp champion easyhit fiber optic sight on my vinci I ended up getting a green turkey one for my 20 guage I dont turkey hunt, I asked for it for christmas and my mom ordered the one that says hunting wich I would have made that mistake too but I liked it but when they say its for turkeys they mean it I couldnt hit crap with it but anyways I am thinking of getting one but I hate the fact that it adheiseve on I have a tru glo sight thats magnet on my 870 and that thing is bright my dad got a Hiviz and it sucks it dont lighy up at all I wanted a fiber optic sight that would light up mine did his didnt he dont care too much hes old school:cool: has anyone used the sporting model champion easy hit sight??

  12. I got to take my new vinci out today trap shooting and its realy smooth, it was kinda funny I was used to the remington 870 kick and I was amazed at the difference on recoil how little the vinci had compared to the 870 so my coach said let me see and he shot one shell threw it and said man that thing kicks hes used to a berreta trap gun that dont kick kinda a sissy gun if you ask me so I was laughing on how little the recoil is to me and how much it was to him. anyways the vinci is great everyone at my trap club thought it was a trap gun and it shoots like one it shoot high but i messed with my shims and it brought it to about flat i just got to aim allitle bit under it but after I changed the shim my mid bead looked alot shorter it was really weird im thinking of putting the shim i had befor and see if it looks higher then if not ima check my bead. but it sure is a head turner i had to take it apart about ten times to show people they were all amazed people there want one as their trap gun. they said its got a nice tall rib like trap guns have and its smooth as a heavy trap perrazi but still as durable as a field gun, I love it thats all I can say my coaches dont want me shooting it anymore till after the season so I may take their advice its only like 2 weeks so ill think about ill probabaly shoot it tuesday.

  13. one other thing There are two guys on the trap team im on its the varsity im on intermidiets but they both got sbe2s these are guys who have trap guns and there highest scores are 23 or 24 they both got sbe2s and shot 25 there first round they ever shot the gun

  14. good info dude...I think ill prob just get what I like...ill be going to a couple gun shops a week from today and and ill just shoulder a bunch till i find a perfect one. I'll let you guys know i guess....if any1 has anything else to say I'll still check back here a couple more times b4
get a vinci its the perfect balance for trap my coaches on the team i shoot in thought it was a trap gun and they shoot perazzis get a black synthetic 28in vinci and get a extended kicks high flyer choke that will ad the ported barrel trap guns need and bring the guns barrel to 29 and 3quarter inch barrel and you can get a stock raising kit at bass pro that you can take of for hunting get a vinci and you can turn it into a trap gun for less than 60 bucks and you can hunt with it its a bad idea to take a trap gun hunting ive seen it and they regret it get a vinci you wont be dissapointed i promise
  15. Gun scrubber should be OK on the metals, but don't let it get on the synthetics.

The Hoppes stuff you have is probably #9 bore cleaner?

No, it will not be OK.

Get some Breakfree or Hoppes Elite Field Cleaner.

I know Wal-Mart has the Hoppes and I think they have Breakfree as well.

Yeah I have that #9 hoppes I'll try allitle bit of the gun scrubber were you cant see the metal and test it I'ts gotta be one of those insurance things they have to put on there
  16. Cleaner Lubricant Protectant

I've never tried Breakfree on my black SBEII, but Hoppes Elite Field Cleaner (also a CLP product) works great on the metals and it makes the synthetics look better than new.

My dad bought me some Gun scrubber from walmart but im worried to use it becouse it says may harm wood metal and paint. I have some hoppes stuff I use in my barrels would that work? And trust me these grease marks dont come off with oil or alchahol.

  17. Good shooting , Break em all clays that is
Thats the plan, does anyone know how to remove grease spots and fingerprints from black synthetic? its my first gun with that type metal barrel
  18. I got the vinci today well tonight and I cant shoot it untill saturday but I have to read the owners manual anyways my dad said I cant use it till I know it. I will post after I shoot on saturday.

  19. Does anyone have a link or instructions on how to correctly install shims on the SBE II. I have the bag of shims, but have misplaced my instruction manual and I have not had any luck on the web. Not only the shims, but the metal washer that locates the recoil suppression.

    Thanks

    BKWags

Go on the SBE2 page on benelliusa.com and on the bottom left corner it says manual click on that and the shim stuf starts at page 78 or 79 and goes on quite a few pages or you can just print the manual

  20. Trust me each birthday he tells me how many more years until I move out. I am thinking about doing some waterfowl engraving on the vinci and make it one of a kind.
