Not questioning any other person's method of executing this, but this was mine. 1. I completely field stripped the firearm, to include the magazine spring and follower. 2. I placed the receiver where the magazine tube was hanging over the edge, weighing down the butt stock end. 3. I pointed the heat gun directly at the portion of the receiver where the magazine tube screws in. 4. I monitored the temperature and increased the heat setting on the gun until it was at about 270 degrees on the inside of the receiver and about 230 degrees on the outside, while swilling beer, watching football, and smoking a couple of cigarettes. In all, it took about 1 beer, 2 cigarettes...or about 15 minutes. 5. I placed the strap wrench on the magazine tube about 6-8 inches away from the receiver. (The tube was still cool to the touch.) 6. I leaned my forearm on the receiver (with a pot-holder on top) and maintained pressure while I firmly unscrewed the magazine tube with the strap wrench. 7. I was lucky in that most of the lock-tight remained on the magazine tube; I cleaned the receiver threads with a brass cleaning brush. 8. I screwed in Kip's tube, placed in a Brownell's follower (Red Aluminum) and installed the spring that came with the Ti tube. 9. Confirmed that it would hold 7 x 2 3/4 inch dummy rounds. You can go to your gun dealer for the same cost and get one NIB. I got a PG stock for my SBEII for $149.

Finally...a good use for a cat!

If you can get close enough....definitely a 00 Buckshot or something similar with a modified choke. I'd recommend a small caliber rifle, .22 if you are worried about collateral damage. It doesn't take much to knock down a coyote, but getting close can be a challenge.

Got mine from www.nationalpolicesupply.com that someone posted earlier in this thread. They shipped the next day. Not sure if they have any left. I dropped the order that I had with Optics Planet. (Stood for about a month.)

Right now I have the EOTech EOLAD on my M4 which will not allow enough clearance (in my opinion) for the shells to be pushed up far enough to be secure. Another reason I didn't use it was an earlier thread that mentioned that heavier optics might be prone to causing the threads to strip out of the receiver...figure I'm pushing my luck with the sight, don't want to add the extra stress of the Mesa side saddle.

It is going to be close, but you should be fine. (I did a side by side comparison....don't have my sureshot mounted.)

I am absolutely fine with the Surefire. I would buy it again... I would recommend purchasing extra "ladder" rail covers, though. The pack only comes with three, and (singly) they are not long enough to cover an entire rail.

I ordered mine, waited a month for him to send me an invoice, and a month later it arrived at my doorstep. (Today) I had no contact with him whatsoever. It is so pretty that I am considering not putting it on my 11707. Maybe I'll put it in the safe with my collapsibe butt stock and just take it out and stroke it every now and then. Who am I kidding?

I guess I was lucky. I got handed my first single shot .22 Marlin at the ripe age of 10. My dad taught me how to shoot it (no easy task, as I am left handed) as well as all of the rules of gun safety that he learned in the Army. I still have the firearm, and must have fired 10,000 rounds through it. The things he taught me served me well throughout my 20+ year military career, and serves as some of the fondest memories that I have with him. I agree whole-heartedly with the concept of the single shot, non-toy looking projectile launcher...but only with a lot of adult supervision at the onset.

Is the plastic being cut where it meets the brass, or is the plastic being pulled out of the casing?

Got it in the mail today, rapid turnaround. (I'd had one on order from OpticsPlanet for about a month.) Looks good on the gun...the lines against the barrel aren't as clean as the factory ones are. The metal mounting nubs are a nice touch, and the grip feels very solid on the gun. It also looks like the pistons have free range of motion. We'll see what a little heat and gas does for them. I'll let you know how it works on the range this weekend, and I'll post some photos as soon as I get through my probationary period. I also installed an aftermarket magazine follower from Brownell's. (Red Aluminium) I acutally think the quality is better than Benelli's. On another note...I got an unexpected notification from UPS that I have a package inbound...not sure, but I think the Benelli Bunny may have my Ti magazine tube from the Kipster... I am so pumped that I may just wet myself. *Update* Just returned from the range...shot about 30 slugs through the gun with perfect function. (The gun, not me...) There was no apparant gas leakage from around the handguard, and the pistons seemed to function fine. I was using a grip-pod system for stability, and it was rock solid. On another note, I did notice that shooting the cheap remington "Slugger" rifled slugs did not fair well past 25 meters. 2" groups at that range, but the round entered the paper sideways at 50.

Not sure how many fore-grips National Police Supply has, but I ordered one and it shipped the next day.
