  1. I was wondering if anyone would like to share their wild turkey breast recipe???
  2. alright so sounds like my 28 inch barrel would make a good enough turkey gun. I have a turkey choke with it i just seen all these turkey barrels out there i didn't know if it would be worth the money spending it on them or not. thanks for the info everyone
  3. I'vew seen them for every type of gun but what exactly is a turkey barrel? Is it just longer or is there something different inside the barrel?
  4. i was reading about this and maybe i just don't know enought about this but is it really a good idea to get rid of the long gun registry? Is it really an inconvienence to register the gun (being as mine was registered for me when i bought it). Maybe someone could enlighten me but i seen adds from the government saying that its an inconvienence for hunters and people that live in rural areas. Well i am a hunter and i live in a rural area and it didn't really bother me to have to register my shotgun. So is it really a good idea? In 2007 the RCMP accessed the gun register database 2.5 million times so obviously its worth having.
  5. too late to get his own bird eh, well he'll just have to go out and shoot some more. That recipe sounds pretty good i might have to give that one a try.
  6. I personally soak it over night in salt water and then for a couple hours in italian salade dressing and a little hot sauce(if you like that). Then i cut it up into approx 1 in squares and wrap each square with bacon. Then fry it with the folded side down either in a frying pan or on the bbq either one works. You are going to want to serve it medium rare as it gets pretty tough you cook it any more then that.
  7. not to change the topic but what type of slugs would you recomend for shooting out of a smooth bore barrel?
  8. well i would like to thank everyone for their responses as i'm sure it wasn't the greatest question but again i do appreciate you all taking the time to help me out. I think i probibly should be more worried about how my gun shoots then what it looks like but i was really worried because of how tricky i hear turkeys are to get. I think the only thing i am going to need is just some more experience with hunting to truly to decide things for myself. Again thanks for the responses
  9. I have a stoeger p350 max advantage 12g shotgun. I have just started hunting and bought this shotgun because and at the time all i really wanted to shoot was waterfowl. However this spring i will be turkey hunting and i would like to start hunting deer next year and i was wondering if the duck blind camo will be good enough to hunt or will i need to get maybe a shotgun with realtree? Any feedback would be appreciated
