  1. Very well put, and I agree. But does that law apply to the addition of the extension tube to an already fixed magazine tube? That is where i have the quandary... thanks for your reply!
  2. Hello, I’m new to this forum, Currently Living in the PRK, not sure why anymore.... anyway.... I am the proud owner of two M4's non LE version. One of which was purchased in Las Vegas and came with the extension tube installed, though I believe it is after market. (Father actually purchased it for me... retired LA county Sherriff Detp. ) I’m wondering if there is a difference in the law(USC 922r) in relation to the addition of the extension tube and simply replacing the entire tube; for a US made 6 rd tube? I guess my confusion is this, is the addition of the extension tube be considered as "modifying and or producing" as it applies to replacement of the tube under USC 922r? And if it were, would I then have to replace other non imported items on the weapon to bring it to compliance if I did have the extension tube installed?... I have searched this for a while, probably too long in that now, I’m swimming in complicated details up to my arm pits. thank you in advance !

Im wondering if there is a difference in the law concerning the addition of the extention and simply replacing the etire tube for one like Socomguy sells?
