It's here! (pictures pretty much the same as the ad had!) It IS marketed as a home defense gun- so the wife wants to shoot it (she grew up on a hunting preserve with lots of shotguns around-plus the "home defense" excuse got me the nod to buy it.) Are there any of the oem/aftermarket recoil pads for the stock for an M4? Also, what is a recommended home defense load/choke?

The shotgun you can choose is an "M1014". Is that correct for the military version? A collectible version with a crippled collapsible stock?

My son is home on leave and took me to a store that has a range that isnt too far away, maybe 20 minutes. They had a NIB M4 that they sold the week before Christmas for $1289. Hunters who frequent that store werent interested in it so it sat there for a long time.

what MODEL M4 should I be looking at as far as choke, number of ports, etc? I aint young and am getting a headache trying to keep it all together. It looks like a changeable choke is desireable? (and the M1014 doesnt have that.) It looks like people want the 2-port tube- and there are some model(s) without that. Some models have a 3-position tube for possible collapsible stock,if i want to keep that option open, and Im not sure but I might have read somewhere that some models were MADE for collapsible stock, so the gun is properly drilled for that tube (but i dont know what he meant- are there some models that its a mod to try to add that 3-position tube?) ahhhh! Im trying to digest this all fast because my son is home on leave (SEMPER FI) trying to help me out, go to stores, etc.

what brand of rails are you using? do the rails count as replacing the forearm (thus , using 1 USA part?)

I wish I was a lawyer-as I read that list, and look at your gun, you only have 1 thing on that list, the hicap mag itself. So, thats not 2 items from the list, and you wouldnt need to change anything else as far as compliance. So if someone with a stock M4/1014 added an extender, they would only have 1 of the 4 items, and wouldnt need to change anything else. But who knows. One guy asked atf about just adding an extended mag, and they said he has to have only 10 foreign parts. But line 4, "The ability..." Does that mean if they find that a detachable mag IS AVAILABLE SOMEWHERE (store,internet,etc) for the M4, that it would count as 1 of the 2 stikes? :confused: Or, if you have whatever mounting hardware from a detachable mag unit assembled to the gun? (more likely the latter.) Plus, its funny where they have the "and" at the end of line 3 about the hicap mag. Why have it there at all if its just a list?

If one is being sold as used, is it stamped anywhere Benelli or some other identifying mark? (photo anyone?) There are non-oems out there which are fine if you want that, but not if paying for what is being sold as an OEM part.
