  1. I got my Nova youth back today from the Benelli serivce repair......still not fixed as 85% or better of the ammo pumps onto the ground at my feet! This is unreal Benelli did not fix the gun.....with a letter saying they replaced the carrier and test fired. Its very obvious there is a problem somewhere as the shells are getting ejected form the bottom when trying to load the gun!

  2. my supernova the carrier returns to original postion just as soon as the forearm begins to move..... however the youth nova hangs about half way. the nova should not work any diffently than the supernova....does not require excessive force or slamming the forearm to feed shells from the magazine. I sent the youth nova back last week, will see what happens....very upset about a new gun that dont function properly and very nervous about the SBE II that my dealer has on order for me as well. On a good note my supernova works flawless, hence my other benelli purchases.

  3. if they can carry a safe, they can rip it loose.......

if the safe is not bolted it can be tipped to one side rods/pipes can be used to roll the safe....bolting down is easy to do in most cases, cheap and will only add security the way I see it. I realize some do not have the option.

  4. if the safe is not bolted to the floor....your only fooling yourself, would be way more concerned of security vs moisture under the safe. regardless if you used a air space between the floor and safe....bolt it down if possible for sure.

  5. Recently picked up a youth model Nova/20g....brand new out of the box shells were coming out the bottom when loading. After comparing to my SuperNova it apperars the carrier is not returning properly when the forearm is moved....after cleaning and oiling had to sent it back to Benelli today. Not happy at all. Has anyone else experienced this issue with the Nova?

  6. I never looked at a Benelli until went to the gun shop to purchase the Rem 887 Nitro several months ago.... wow the quality was terrible to say the least. Needless to say the SuperNova went home with me that day. I was so upset being a Remington fan that I wrote a letter to Remington about the Nitro....when the smart remark reply came back that did it for me. (the reply revealed I wasnt the first they have heard from, but didnt really care they lost a sale either) Since then have purchased another Benelli youth Nova and have an SBE II on order.....sorry Remington.

  7. guess I thought Accokeek, Md location would keep them in stock for shipping to dealers.....? after price shopping it was the best could find.

  8. I will likely wait it out, just wandered if the "dont know" how long it will take response from the Benelli dealers is normal on orders?

  9. I ordered 10108.....do not see a better price on gun broker with shipping and fees from ffl dealer. $1399 for the APG camo/26"

  10. I recently ordered a SBE II from my local dealer....the dealer is telling me it could be a week to maybe a month or more for the gun to arrive .......is Benelli that slow shipping the SBE II to the dealers?

  11. Permethrin was originally extracted from chrysthanthemum flowers in the 1940's by Imperial Chemicals (the agricultural product division was merged into Syngenta about 1995) but now is synthesized. It is a safe and effective insecticide.

Here's something that is pretty cool. Gash a cherry or pear tree and it will exude a sticky, viscous gum over the period of two weeks. The tree produces this exudate to prevent insects from laying eggs and boring into the gash (insect pheromone repellent).

Take a knife and remove the exudate. And then apply it to the ends of your pants, shirt and collar (it will not harm clothing). I've never gotten ticks in my life. It sometimes really works well with blackflies, too, depending upon the weather. Just don't put it directly on your skin. Under the right conditions, you'll get a reaction that is really itchy.

will have to try this one.....

  12. Im using a Trulock .665 turkey choke (non ported) with Federal Prem. (Mag-Shok) FliteControl Wad #5 this is a HV (1300fps) 3.5" load. I have taken two spring gobblers in MD with this load. It works great for me under 50yds with my SuperNova. Federal suggest using nothing tighter than a .665 with the FliteControl Wad loads.

  13. I have a new Super Nova and wondering if others have noticed this issue or could check?

after firing a shot (live round or dry fire) if the saftety is immediately pushed back to the (on or safe) the action is very stiff when loading the next round.....if the safety is left in the (off or fire) then the action is very smooth loading the second round.

The gun has been this way since new and remains same after cleaning it?
