  1. This may seem like a silly reply, but why would you put a scope on a shotgun?? Your range is pretty limited distance wise and you should be able to hit a turkey with one shot and no scope!
  2. Im guessing he's farther south than you since our Texas Duck opener is Nov 5th as well... we have three regions here for Dove that start on different dates and our southern region brothers hafta wait three weeks to shoot dove after we start in the Austin Area...
  3. Shoot Rio 2 3/4's in my relatively new M2 all day long...never a misfire....altho I did break her in w/Some 3" magnum Heavy Doves loads before taking it on a hunt...
  4. Chuck, I cant answer all of your questions but having just returned an M1 Super 90 to a gun shop that I bought it from due to cycling problems, I can say to keep a wary eye out...mine would NOT cycle more than one 2 3/4 shell unless I had it planted so hard into my shoulder that I could never track a bird comfortably, thereby making it useless for hunting. I promptly paid the difference on a brand new M2 Field and dont regret it for a second....Night and Day difference. That being said, yes, it does have the inertia system (and it a semi-auto, not auto, but I think thats what you meant)...I dont know about the gel pads the stock because the newer "comfort-stock" set up is a whole "system" of parts if you will and I cant say the gel pad alone could be popped onto the back of the M1 stock....the other tough part about the M1 is it has the ability to be "ghost loaded" so even with a 3 shell plug in, you could drop on more on top of the elevator and essentially have a 4th shell in there...The game wardens are fully aware of this and will check you on it so you need a longer plug and then, sadly, hafta put one in the chamber, one in the tube and the 2nd shell in limbo on top of the elevator without engaging it....its a royal PIA...The M2 has no problems like that. So basically, its a fine shotgun but they seem to have cycling issues and would probably be a better tactical gun. For the right price, it may still be worth it tho. Robb
  5. thats still a fine deal...altho Id want the lil guy with me on non-hunting days too ;-)
  6. While I dont have my own bird dog, yet, Im always amazed watching my friends dogs and how they truly get pissy when were not shooting stuff for them :-) Gotta love em for their desire to "work"
  7. DDragon...thats a beautiful site...and one happy Black Lab :-) Congrats man!
  8. I second that....make it browsable before we sign up to use something....please
  9. Coop, You didnt get to go with a guy name David Moore by any chance, did you?? Weve been having decent Dove hunts here in Central TX but we have sooooo little water, its just sad...We wont have much of a Duck season at this rate... A buddy of mine was priveledged to join a hunt for teal this past wednesday and sadly he reported not a single trigger was even pulled...:-( Anjiegal, welcome to the forum!
  10. He "thinks he has about 20 Benelli shotguns and rifles"?? How do you not KNOW 110% how many Benelli's you own, seriously man....??
