Pictures??

Thanks for the reality check.

Definitely have ruled out the extended rail.

I had a Sureshell carrier ordered, but cancelled after thinking more about it. I think I'm going to go with a Sideamor Mod 4 system.
-
I guess ill break down and order my CC full tube today. These M4's are rapidly becoming money pits. $1600 for the shotgun, $350 for a C-stock, $180 for a tube. And I still want a red/green dot site system, sureshell shell carrier and maybe a 3 point sling. Guess I need to start playing the lotto. LOL.
Huff, one other point, when you are installing your CC tube, which you will really enjoy, by the way, if you do not have a bench vice at home, on a workbench, you might want to consider getting one. They are relatively inexpensive and really come in handy for a whole lot of things you'd never think you'd need it for.

No surprises, good to be aware.

Again, thank you. I've passed the information along to the guy asking about it on my YouTube channel.

Just my $0.02, but I don't think they would put a coating on their firearms that wasn't heat resistant. Duracoat's Duraheat is resistant up to 1800 degrees, while Cerakote is up to 1200 degrees.
Great answer, thanks.

Bueller? Bueller?

Thanks for the feedback.

Not helpful.

Just got a question on my YouTube channel about whether or not removing the mag tube on a Benelli M4 with factory camo would in any way do harm to the camo job, if using heat.
I wanted to say, "No, just don't over do it." But thought I'd check here first.

Hmmmm....ok, more decisions. I guess then the big advantage of the Sidearmor system are the options you have with the removable shell holder system they employ.
-
OK, I've been reading up a lot on various options that Sidearmor offers and am leaning towards the rail mount with the saddle that holds 8 shells.
Any advice? Thoughts? Advantages/disadvantages of this particular model? Why 8 instead of 6?
Thanks.

I was leaning toward the Mesa side saddle, but this thread convinced me to go with the Sidearmour system, simply because of the ease of removal for cleaning the shotgun.

Here is the Surefire rail system:

Huff, when you go to get snap ring pliers make sure you get this kind:
The snap ring in the tube needs to be squeezed together to remove and reinstall, so if you get a "dual purpose" snap ring plier, you'll have more options.
I got mine at Home Depot, Vice Grip brand, not very expensive.
-
You make a very good point, thanks.
-
Zeke, yes on the snap ring pliers!! Will make your life a lot easier.
Can't wait to see the results of your install, enjoy!! It's fun.
Make sure you get this kind of snap ring plier set:

I didn't have any trouble with it, I just prefer the size of CC's handle, and it does not seem to spin as much. There's nothing wrong with the GG&G, I just like CC's better. That's all.
-
looks like the muted bolt handle?
Yes, that's CC's muted bolt handle.

I wanted the rail to give me more options

speedbar looks very interesting, by the way, I finally figured how to do pictures here. Just copy the image from one place, paste it into the message. Voila. Duh.
