so then it's safe to say that it's the shells and not the spring? would it even be advisable to tamper with the spring from a FACTORY +2 extension? here are the brands and type of shells that i was using that day. anybody here have any feedback on these? [ATTACH=CONFIG]1882[/ATTACH]

OK, after installation of the +2 factory extension and spring on my SUPERNOVA 18.5", i loaded up the tube and everything seems to cycle really well. But I realized I was only able to load it up with 5+1 (2.75" shells) and 4+1 (3" shells) at a time!?!?! From what I have been reading, isn't this shotgun supposed to hold 7 or 8 shells with a +2 factory extension? Does that mean I have to cut the spring that came with the extension? If so, how much should I cut it before it affects its performance? Should I just revert back to using the original spring, which seems to slide up and down inside the extended tube when the shotgun is not loaded? also it doesn't even have enough tension to hold the factory end cap in place. (i didn't think that was a good thing to have a loose spring).

well, who in the **** will let me shoot the thing? i can't necessarily just run out into my backyard and start busting caps into trees! i try to drag it to the range and they tell me no...not here! i just got fed up with people not letting me shoot the thing anywhere because "it may ruin and damage the place". i do sorta live very close to NYC! and with Gov. Huomo going balls out with his power...i don't want to cause too much attention with practice rounds.

ya i know what you mean...but with kids in the house...i was just trying to be responsible. i have a bat and a machete...but the my most effective self defense methods so far was stabbing. that was messy always a messy and tiring scene.

so do you cut, or not cut the spring that comes with the factory +2 extension? i have a supernova tactical w/ 18.5" barrel. there is no clear tutorial anywhere on how to install the factory mag extension. with the +2 extension, would i still be able to use the original spring from the supernova? or will it be better to just use the spring that came with the mag extension?

no, i keep it unloaded and its never been fired. the moment it gets fired somebody has to start bleaching my walls & floors. it's strictly home defense. thank you for the info.

i have the 18.5" supernova tactical...i saw this video but i do not understand why somebody would do this?

thanks, but what about the spring retainer and follower inside...do they get reinstalled or do i leave them out?

Does anybody here know how to install this thing properly? Is it plug and play or will it need some spring cutting? I assume no cutting involved because it is new from the Benelli factory...but I am only assuming. Are there any walkthru's anywhere on the net regarding the installation of the factory extensions (NOT NORDIC EXTENSIONS!) ?

i have still yet to shoot mine so i can't relate to this issue. but that's interesting after all the quality kudos i have been reading about benelli!

i didn't vote for anybody to tell u the truth. i never liked "change" and mitt was an oddball to me. hopefully next time they have better teams playing in the "world series or power".

from what I've been reading on the internet people have been cutting the spring 16" past the barrel on the nordic components mag extensions. i hope i don't have to do any cutting with the factory extension.

which one is better in quality....the OEM Benelli +2 mag extension or the Nordic Components +2 mag extension? which would you rather have? BTW, this is meant for a supernova tactical...
