I'm most anxious to see what you come up with for your light mount and control.

New M4 here also Stripped, cleaned, and lubed mine using Eezox wiped on every surface. Loaded some inexpensive ($6.94 per box) Federal target loads loads. First round ejected and fed fine, but the cartridge drop did not allow next round to follow. Reset and reloaded and ran 4 in a row no problem. Nothing to shoot and I hate blowing off ammo to just waste it so now I wait for the red squirrels to get active again.

Wouldn't this be a neat idea? Sure a guy would lose a round of capacity if he had the extended, but it would be tucked meatly inside. Something around 500+ lumens and use a 18650 rechargeable battery. I really see no point in all this dual CR123 disposable use.

Are the carrier comp handles still in production? I can't seem to find it on their site, only the mag tubes.

I would suggest changing the word "Democrats" to "Anti Gun Lobby" or something similar. Remember, this letter will be going to members of both parties. While the party seems to toe the line overall, not all Dems are anti gun and also some Repubs side with the anti gun. If this were strictly divided across party lines there would be no need to send to Rebubs in the first place. Personally, I consider myself Independent. I happen to side with the Dems on many issues, but the Gun control issue is one that I do not.

I don't own a M4 (yet) but have had awesome results using a product called Eezox to lube my gun stuff. Be careful on triggers though. I have a Remington that the trigger would not adjust and was gravely. I lubed it and it now breaks like an icicle a 1.5# I used a drop of Eezox on my Tru Ball release and it would not hold to draw my bow.

Speaking purely to my personal needs/preferences, I want the screw in chokes so I can tighten it up for Turkey use.

I like the look of the Gear sector mount. Now to find something comparable to the Streamlight TLR2s that uses a 18650 rechargeable battery, offers 600+ lumens and a laser that carries like the Crimson trace. I know we won't be looking at 200yd targets so why have a light/laser carry that far? Because we can.

I was quoted $1599 for a new M4 but 60 days wait. They usually ship via boat to US, but with the demand and current political climate they are air freighting them in. I held one Sunday at $1799new at a different store and plan to go back and pick it up if it's still there.
