OK heres the scoop on the forend. Benelli has sent me a brand new replacement. As soon as I took it out of the package I noticed that at the end there are several washers/spring,etc.They are tight and not loose or shaking around. The forend on mine when I bought it had play and they rattled in there. It never occurred to me that this could have been a part of the issue i was having.Well, that all being said. The new forend is very snug to the gun now.Benelli CS is second to none as far as I'm concerned.

OK Thanks.

Hey I too have a question about the above pictured handles. While they all looks great. My question is will they spin or rotate as you use them? The piece I got from Nordic(their BFB) will not rotate.Anyone have any issues with the FFT or such spinning or rotating? Thanks.

How do you like the rubber grip on that handle?
-
Nice gun and bolt.I may have tp get one for my super sport.
-
I couldn't agree with you more.Especially when it's 15 degrees outside and ya got heavy gloves on and so on.

OK I went with the nordic BFB chaging handle. This thing is awesome. If I miss this handle when I go to rack the bolt then shame on me!

@ duckwacker.I did get a response. What they told me was that some play is normal on these guns.My question back was what is considered "some play"? and again told the same thing. They did offer to send me a new forend to see if is any tighter fit.and then I can just send back the other forend. So as soon as I get it I will let everyone know how it works out. I realize the play shouldn't affect anything but my OCD kicks in over stuff like that i guess. What I'm thinking about doing if the new one isn't any tighter is to lay some fiberglass front and rear ,let it harden and then just smooth it off untill I get the play out of it. I too feel that at $1500.00 for one of these this shouldn't be needed at all,but that's just me.

I have just bought a SBE II and have the same condition. The forend just doesn't fit snug enough around the barrel.I also(IMHO) feel the same way as the guy who posted this.We pay 1500.00 for a shotgun and need to use electrical tape to fix a condition that again(IMHO) shouldn't even exist.Fit and finish should be second to none on these guns.I'm not slamming Benelli ,not by any means.I think they are great guns.I have also emailed them in regards to this and will let everyone know how it works out.

Anyone have a SBE II that has some play if you hold the forend and rock from side to side.My SBE II is only 2 weeks old and I notice that I have play and was wondering if they all have this or not? Thanks.
-
Don't get me wrong about them.I think the show is great and so on.( I watch all the time)I have no ill will about anything they do or have. They came from where they were to where they are and that's the American dream.Something I wish all of us could achieve.....Sigh.....maybe one day.

Yeah Thats right, they do shoot them.Only difference is that they are rich and I'm not.The ones they shoot are probably "sponsor gifts";)

I do like mine.It is replacing(believe it or not)a Remington model 11-48.Yeah that gun is very old and I just felt the urge for something new. This will primarily be used for pheasant and then deer when the season rolls around.

OK folks.I just came from the trap range and I put 75 rounds of target loads down the barrel.I'm happy to tell you my benelli didn't skip a beat.Worked flawlessly.
-
SGTCATHY.....well said about the ghost loading. As I'm sure you know.most confrontations with police and the bad guy end in one round from a 12 ga. anyway.(some stats I read awhile back)

I have a question.Having recently(2weeks ago) received my SBE II and reading about the "break in"and reading about how some are having cycling problems. Is that condition inherent to All Benelli shotguns? The reason I ask is that as soon as I assembled mine right out of the box,I tried clay loads and the gun worked perfect. Then I mixed and matched the following:3-1/2" nitro mags,3" turkey loads and Winchester pheasant loads along with the Clay target loads.I fed my SBE II everything and anything in any and all combinations of shells and my gun never skipped a beat.Did I get the oddball benelli that just didn't need a "break in"?Is the M4 using different springs?VS the SBE II  Here she is!!
-
What is the purpose of ghost loading ?Just curious.Thanks.

OK here's the scoop.I read the manual and what it said about"break in" and here's what I did,I picked up my SBE II this morning and then headed to the range to break her in. I brought 1 box of nitro mags 3-1/2" shells,2 boxes of 3" turkey load mags one dozen high brass pheasant loads, one box of target shells for clay pigeons. So The very first thing I do is load up with the light target loads and I start shooting. Then I mixed and matched everything I had brought with me to try and get this gun to malfunction in some way.Now maybe some Benelli SBE II's NEED a break in,but not mine I mixed and changed up loads, shells etc trying to get the gun to FTF or FTF.Nothing.this gun took all I gave it and never skipped a beat. This is one bad ass Benelli. Now I can't wait for pheasant and deer season.

Hello, I'm new here so be kind.I did a search and didn't really find the answer. I already own a benelli super sport 12ga. and I'm just now purchasing a Super black eagle II(NICS takes forever)anyway my question is this: can the charging handle be replaced with a good, strong, large handle? The reason I ask is that the smaller one works fine but when I have gloves on and my hands stiffen(arthritis) I feel a larger handle would help me get the job done better.Any recommendations would be appreciated.Thanks.
