For those with the BFG Vickers sling, did you get the custom version?

Yes. They used to have the option of both ends sewn in as well as all aluminum triglides.  I have one like that but cut the stitches to swap swivels for ALG ones. The micro qd buttons on the BFG swivels didn’t work well w my fat thumbs. I also Added a IWC triglide w/ qd to the stock end for a 2 to 1 point option. I probably won’t use it but who knows. I like knowing it’s there if I need it.

  2. I swapped just the trigger spring in my m4 to the TTI. It’s lightened the trigger pull considerably and haven’t had one light primer strike.  The trigger’s a lot lighter but not too light if that makes any sense. I never measured it unfortunately.

I received mine today, it's great!  I do have a couple of points:

    - Having this on my gun now, I, too, would like a black/parkerized/cerekote version.  The titanium is nice, but I do like to have my purse match my shoes. :)  I'm in for another one if black becomes a reality.

    - It would be great if the actual handle was just a just a tad longer.  I have the GG&G bolt release on mine since it is pretty wide and right under the charging handle, I only have 5/8" of handle to grab.  Not a deal breaker and definitely an outlier use case, if you don't have the GG&G it's a perfect length.

Flip the GGG bolt release upside down. It gets it out of the way

  4. Yeah I know. I have the scales, karve,XOS’s ,scout mount etc on a SCAR rifle. I’m not talking about mlok or rails though.I just reached out to them about a G10 textured replacement to factory polymer hand guards. If they’re receptive and people here are down maybe they’d do a run. It’s worth a try! If anybody could do it (and do it right) R.S.’s could.

  5. Barrels are parkerized unless  cerakoted anymore. Neither are the most durable or protective finish. I have a few scrapes on mine. What bothers me most is the rust coming through the parkerizing (at least that’s how it looks to me) . I see two options either keep oiling the trouble spots and deal with it or send the barrel (or whole shotgun) off to be coated. Neither is ideal but life’s not fair.

  6. Chk Teague out. Once you get your desired distance and constriction dialed in give them a serious look (but mind the conversion chart the Brits have different names for some). Not all chokes are created equal.

  7. Looks pretty good. I haven’t wanted another charging handle since CC but I want to give this one a try. One in black would be nice.

A little teaser.  This is shiny, final version will be sand blasted, I'll try and get a photo of a blasted one this weekend.  Also, likely to reduce the wall thickness to take weight down a bit more.  But as it is, it is the same as OEM.  Doing more tests this weekend.

Went with “volcano” knurl which has a dimple at the peak of the knurl to reduce sharpness. It feels good.

Lol, too funny. I have toddlers and I find myself in similar situations. Just don't leave it sit there too long or it will be colored and pained without your consent ? I'm sure your kids could easily find a way to lodge the crayon in the receiver leading to hours of cleaning and frustrations. Oh the stuff kids will do.

Nah, I just use the stuff while my little one sleeps .”What they don’t know won’t hurt them” they say. I used to hide guns from my parents now I hide guns from the youth.
