I use a TTI reduced power hammer spring. It's worked well so far (no ftf)

Hello, folks. I'm looking for a new or gently used Scalarworks SYNC for a aimpoint micro. Let me know. Thank you.

Been gone a while. Back to necromance this thread for Les Garten- You can run that elzetta with some bicycle inner tube around the tailcap of your Bravo.Torqe a pound or two extra. The tailcap is tapered and scallopped so back it out towards the stock a bit beforehand. The innertube fills the gaps and gives more surface area engagement. I also added friction tape to the under side of the mount where it interfaced with the barrell.Mines been hanging tough for a couple yrs and hasn't budged in the first AVA mount...and I shoot the m4 quite a bit. I believe elzetta machined the lights for their mount or vice versa. Either way this setup is viable.Good Luck Les

I wanted to check in and let it be known that the elzetta bravo works well in this mount as long as the low-pro bezel and 1" ava ring are utilized.
-
Yes I shook it up for a lil bit... But it seems like it's drying up now. Or at least where the threads are because I can unscrew it anyone. It seems like it's only still fresh where there is no metal on metal and thread contact. i am just going to wipe the excess loctite off
Loctite...? Never heard of it! Permatex surface insensitive and anaerobic primer are a winning combo.

Imo Gdi is more for a precision rig where weight is much less important.
I went w/ the G-brand because the Lbrand was too low for me to get a proper cheek weld in the middle position using the c-stock. You'd probably need a tall mount if you're running it fully collapsed. Also the weight of the gbrand isn't anything I've noticed after switching out the L-brand mount.
-
I would like to use my M4 with the stock in the fully collapsed position.
Does anyone know what would be the correct base mount for the T1?
I know most run this set up in the middle stock position.
GDI mounts If you like your rails "unburnished" and 4 points of contact opposed to three. I have one for my t1 on the m4. Calling it solid would be an understatement.

I use the limbsaver slip on for my CS M4.
What size if you don't mind me asking?
-
I also use a T-1 (2moa). I couldn't see myself running anything larger or heavier on an m4. The larue mount I had was slightly too low. I switched to a GDI. With the stock in the middle position the aimpoint's exactly where I need it to be.
I finally put a couple (50-75 remy slugs, rio buck) rounds through it last week & everything ran perfectly (even with the reduced power hammer spring). I like the ghost ring (sorta) but but love this red dot. It's never coming off my m4.

Hi Pack Rat -
That certainly is too large of a bezel. The Fury at 1.37 is on the edge of touching the barrel and will under recoil. It can be shimmed away, as some have done but not part of the design.
I see. Thanks, Joel .

Do you know the bezel diameter of the Elzetta Bravo? Their website does not have this information, that I could find.
Joel
Yes,Joel. it's 1.46".

I'm interested in the mount but don't believe the torch I have (elzetta bravo AVS) will work with it. I do believe a fury specific mount would work though. The malkoff low-pro head isn't something i feel i need. This mount on the other hand.... If anyones running a AVS Bravo I'd appreciate your feedback on compatibility. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Pack Rat, good to know. Did you use a slave pin on your install? Where did you find them. I have been looking on-line and can't seem to find them.
I got them from a m a z o n but midway & brownells probably have them too. Yeah, I used a small clamp (meant to hold paper work together) to hold the carrier latch in place against the receiver & a straightened paper clip as a slave pin.

I bought a set of punches at Cabelas for like $40 the other day coming back from being out of town. The outside of the box looked like ther were decent but when I got them home and opened them they feel cheap. They are made by Wheeler "hammer and punch set" Don't want to drive back 120 miles to take them back....lol. Can you recommend a place where I can get the right tools for this install?
Thanks again for all your advise, I really appreciate it.
These hold up well . I used em on the bolt pad I installed & some trigger group work as well. I wasn't very easy on them with the mallet either.

I received my TTI shell elevator, hammer spring, bolt release pad and safety yesterday,,, to me being a new M4 owner the pieces seem to be well made and well finished the shell elevator is completly polished and the bolt pad and safety are hard coat anodized in a dark grayish color....
Yeah, man. I got the safety, hammer spring & "shell elevator" as well. All dropped in (the m4) & function smoothly.
-
Finally got around to ordering a TTI shell elevator and their lightened hammer spring. I'll test it out to see if both are reliable on the M4.
cool. your reviews are decent.

I posted earlier about my great Christmas gift, now for the Help from all of you. any mods you have tried that make the M4 more lefty friendly? thinking aftermarket safety to start.
thanks for you knowledge and time to respond
just make sure you have decent 5/64 roll pin punch before you get started.

Welcome aboard..... nice rigs...
Thanks. I appreciate the hospitality,Bhunted.

Nice SCAR17.
Thanks,SD. Thanks for the writeups on how to actually sling the m4 (with a c-stock) as well.

Agreed. I would expect no less from him on the m4 platform.
