  1. I received one from Daves Metal Works. So far it has been great. Got one of his 7 round tubes also.

    M4 operation

You will love this firearm. I have had mine for a little over a month, and it brings a smile to my face every time I take it out and let it run. I have put a 7 round tube on it and a larger bolt handle, both mods have made it more to my liking. Have fun with your new toy.
  3. I just finished taking the original tube off of my M4. Instead of clamping the receiver in a vise, I clamped my tube near the end and had the receiver out hanging. I used a wooden block with a hole that had been drilled thru it, and then cut in half. Actually, the blocks I used came with a kit I had bought years ago to do barrel changes on rifles. I started a timer to see how log it took to loosen or break free. A little over 9 minutes. Now waiting on the new tube to get here.
  4. Black, Thank you so much for the flow chart. That is the best explanation that I have come across since I have ben researching this. Others will be happy to see this also. Daryl (cwmoss)
  5. I have had my M4 for about 2 weeks, LOVE IT. I have a Benelli field stock that will be here any day now, just don't care for the pistol grip stock. I do want to do the full length mag, so my question is, since I have taken off the dastardly pistol grip stock and will be adding a US made full length mag, along with a US made follower,do I need to change one or two more things to be in compliance I have read numerous posts and they are as clear as mud. Thanks, Daryl (cwmoss)
  6. I just yesterday, received GG&G from Midwayusa. It is being sent back because once inserted, when raked back, it comes loose. I tried many times tying to make sure it was inserted correctly, but every time I racked it back, it came loose.
