  1. I don't know of anyone that makes them. I'm sure if someone offered them for sale to the public, they would sell more than a few. Good luck with the search and please post here if you have any luck. Happy hunting!
  2. When I got me Nova Tactical back, the gunsmith notes said they couldn't duplicate the problems I was having. (Feeding issues.) When I called customer service to inquire about their lack of action, they agreed to send parts to me and I was able to complete the repairs myself. It was crappy to be without my (only) shotgun for five weeks, but at least it's fixed now and it didn't cost me anything out of pocket. I hope you get good results with yours!
  3. I sent a Nova Tactical in for repairs. It took five weeks to get it back. It's kind of a long story to get into here, but ultimately I am satisfied with their service. FWIW, everyone I dealt with at Benelli was excellent.
  4. Got it. Thanks! (I'm officially done hijacking this thread now.)
  5. So, I've been thinking about this test. It seems like you would want to load a light birdshot shell into the chamber and a heavy slug or buckshot shell into the magazine tube. Fire the birdshot and see if the recoil generated by this light load has sufficient power to cycle the action and chamber the heavier slug. If the heavy shell doesn't make it into the chamber, the magazine spring may not be pushing the round out of the magazine tube fast enough to be in place for the bolt to grab before it returns to battery. Does this sound right or am I way off?
  6. Is that test for semi-autos? I don't see how that test would have any effect on a pump action.
  7. Yes. It holds 7+1 of Hornady TAP FPD 00-Buck. It's a Benelli Nova Tactical with 18.5" barrel. I added: Tac-Star Magazine Extension, Scattergun Technologies Extended Magazine Spring, RCI aluminum follower, Limbsaver recoil pad, ElZetta Tactical Shotgun Light Mount, Xenon weapon light, elastic 5-round buttstock shell carrier and a T.O.C. sling. Works for me.
  8. I installed the Scattergun Technologies extended magazine spring in my NT today. So far, it cycles shells perfectly. It's a fair bit longer than the stock spring and provides considerable tension. It was a little tricky getting the extension back on while fighting the spring. Even though it was made for a Remington 870, it seems to be a good fit for the Benelli Nova Tactical. I also changed to magazine follower to an RCI aluminum unit. That seems like a quality part, too.
  9. A buddy of mine has a new Scattergun Technologies extended spring for a Remington 870. He said I can have it if I want it. Think that would work?
  10. Yes. I'm looking for a longer mag tube spring because the stock spring won't load the last two rounds.
  11. Thanks, Les. It looks like Wolff doesn't make a mag tube spring for the Nova Tactical. I have a 2-round extension on it. So, should I be looking at the "general purpose" mag tube springs? SKU#: 65167?
  12. It's a question of availability. If one was unable to find say, a Benelli Nova Tactical mag tube spring, would a similar-length spring from another make of pump-action shotgun work? You can probably already tell, but I'm pretty new to the world of shotguns and have much to learn.
  13. What about pump actions? Let's say, a Remington 870 spring into a Benelli Nova. I'll check out the video. Thanks!
  14. This might be a newb question but: Are magazines tube springs fairly universal? I understand that they need to be different lengths and they have varying tension, but could someone swap a mag tube spring from a Remington 870 or 1100 into a Mossberg 500 or 930 or a Benelli Nova or M4, provided all of the guns had the same length magazine tube?
  15. Clean, lube, shoot. Repeat as necessary. The breaking in happens all by itself. Congrats on the Vinci, too. It's a beautiful shotgun.

    Repair Status

That's what I thought. Thanks for the reply, though.

    Repair Status

Hello. I'm a new member. It looks like you have a nice little community here! I recently had to send my Nova Tactical 12-gauge back to Benelli for warranty work. Do any of you know of a way to check the status of a repair without having to call them? Is there an online portal for service inquiries that I'm just not aware of? I don't want to be a bother to the fine folks at Benelli but I'd like to know when to expect the return of my shotgun. Thanks!
  18. Looks good! Thanks for sharing. I've been considering something similar and I think you gave me the perfect template for my own attempt.
