Thanks for the input, and for the intel on the M&P 12 recall. Our unit armorer informed me of it earlier today, joking about my new "toy". I made him op-check a couple of 870's w/ 50+ 3" magnum slugs as payback this evening... (I helped a little) I'm torn now between the SuperNova and the STF 12, as both seem like great pump actions from ITL and are different from our regular 590s and 870s. Of course, being "tacticool" helps as well AND I can score a like-new short barrel from one of the embassy guys... I got the SuperNova in Aug for only $450, and the $800 for the STF 12 seems like a steal as well. Keep the SuperNova, or sell/trade it...?! Anyone have experience with one or both of these boom-sticks? THX!

Quick hypothetical for you all here... If given a choice between a Benelli SuperNova Tactical and a Fabarm SFT 12, which would you go for and keep (& why)? I've no experience with Fabarm's shotguns, so enlighten me those of you who have mingled with them. I have a new SuperNova Tac (unfired, yet...), and a buddy of mine in Quantico has a brand new STF 12 that he wants only $800 for. Do I keep the SuperNova or sell it to go for the STF 12? I already have an M4, M3, a Beretta 1301 Tac, and the new S&W M&P 12 Bullpup, so HD is taken care of (but one can NEVER have enough 12ga shooters...). Thanks for the input!

What optics are most shooters using for HD and range use with Sync mounts? I'm thinking HoloSun's offerings for now.

ALRIGHT! Got back from latest field exercise to find some goodies from FFT (& a group called Aridus Indusrties for my Wife's Beretta 1301 Tactical)... Made some phone calls and sent some emails, and hoped for the best. Now I just need time to work on these projects. Thanks to all once again for the help & insght. More to follow shortly...

Greeting everyone, hope all is well. Got a quick question for you "Boom-Stickers"... Is there a mount that will permit co-witnessing on a Benelli M4 and M3 (w/ ghost rings) while using an Aimpoint Micro H1, T1, H2, T2 or a HoloSun HS/HE503* optic? Currently away from a high bandwidth wi-fi signal, but I heard something about a ScalarWorks(?) Sync 01 or 02 mount... Any info would be great. MNY THX!

Thanks to all for the info and insight on this one. Please know that in this circumstance, I would NOT necessarily use this piece of kit to only break glass with... I totally get that the "Almighty M4/M1014" can more than take care of most matters, as I've been quite a few "gov't funded international trips" where I've had to put it to actual use. Greetings All. Just a quick query to see if anyone knows if there is a spike or "glass breaker" magazine tube cap for the M4. Something similar to the one that "Black Aces" makes for the Mossberg series (see attached pics). Any info/insight would be great, as this would be an add on for HD, etc. Many Thanks!

Good to know, and reply is appreciated. So, if you needed a 18.5" (or so) gas gun for primarily home defense and general field/range use secondarily, which would it be: M4 Tactical or 1301 Tactical? For occasional LL shells and for the added benefit of the sound of racking the the slide, the M3 has that covered (pump mode). Just trying to see if there is a "need" (not just a "want") for another HD gas gun. Is the 1301 considerably better than the M4 for typical HD loads and handling/maintenance/accessories, or just hold what I got? (The $1356 could go elsewhere, if needed...) THX

How is the aftermarket support on the 1301? Is it as robust as that of the M4 (mag tube extensions, charging handles, shell lifters, etc.)? How is the reliability of it's gas system compared to the M4, mainly for 00 Buck, #4 Shot shells, and high brass slugs (all 2 3/4")? LGS has an FDE and a Marine model each on hand for $1356 new, and I'm on the fence about "pulling the trigger" on one. Or should I just stick with my M4 H2O and M3 Combat...? MNY THX!

RESURRECTION... I know this is an older post, but THANK YOU to all who have contributed to it as I just changed out my M4's pistol grip to the standard grip in less than one minute. I looked at the Owner's Manual and thought the worst but I checked here with you Pro's and it's a done deal. Saved me $50 from going to the local gunsmith for them to do as listed above. Going to do the same to my M3 as soon as the ordered newly in-stock standard stock arrives. BRAVO ZULU to all, MNY THX! Stock Up & Stay Safe!

Topic... I am looking to purchase a factory Benelli M1/M3 Non Adjustable Drop Stock, Part # 60516, for my M3 convertible. The current pistol grip is nice but I need the standard straight grip offered by the 60516. Any new or good conditioned stock for sale will be great or a trade for the pistol grip I have. Are most of you all still using the newer "original" pin ring? Does anyone use anything different? Good info on tool choices, as I'm trying to see what (easier) options there are for removing/installing this particular pin ring...

Is it possible to swap out the M4's pin ring for a traditional c-clip pin ring like on the M3?

I was able to change out my original mag tubes to the 7 shell tubes by using a heatgun with a small nozzle attachment to precisely direct heat to the outside metal of the receiver. Heated up enough quickly to loosen up the red threadlocker (lots of it) and was fortunate not to damage or warp the plastic parts and my M3. Did this for both the M3 and M4, even though our unit's armorer/gunsmith said to use a torch...

Hello All, first time posting. Got a quick question for you. Would it be sensible change out the "very difficult to remove/install" M4's original trigger guard pin ring with an M3's trigger guard pin ring C-clip? (Extra question - why are they not the same, or which is better?) Did the lifter swap out on both my M3 and M4 and even with a set of Channel-Lock snap ring pliers, the ring on the M4 is a beast... Thanks in advance for the advice and help!
