  1. What’s the stock one made of, aluminum?
  2. I went with CarrierComp for magazine tube. They include a USA made follower and spring with theirs for $200. From what I’ve read they are one of, if not the best tube. put on the $70 FFT forends and you are at your 3 922r parts requirement. The 922r is for everyone, not just CA.

    Cycle issues

I only have one range trip under my M4 belt but I started off with about 10 boxes of full power slugs and buckshot to break it in. Then switched to the low recoil Federal LE Flitecontrol 00 buck. This cycled just fine and minimal recoil. Needless to say the patterns this stuff throws at 25 yds is incredible. I won’t be using anything else for a HD round. I’m glad I picked up 50 boxes when it was available.
  4. Thanks. Not sure if my method is the best way, but seemed to work. I leveled them flat on my granite countertop, taped them together with painters tape, filed, checked fit. Did that 5 times and stopped about just right I think. There is a tiny gap at the receiver when you slide them together, then when you tighten it all up they fit as it shows. I’m not sure if I could get them any better so I quit while the quittens good. Lol. Nice snug fit and most everything lined up except for the top which is normal.
  5. I’m ok with the factory one myself. I seem to read negatives about a lot of the aftermarket ones, but never a negative on the CC one. I guess if they did start making them that would be the one to buy, but not looking like it’s gonna happen.
  6. Well I just got my FFT forends a few days ago and they were a touch too long for my particular gun. After some light filing they seem to be good to go. The fit is actually quite nice. Just a slight bit uneven on the top but that seems to be pretty typical. I’ve seen pics of some worse and some better than mine. Overall I’m pleased with them. Definitely the most cost effective part to replace after the full length tube and follower. I was thinking about going the AS trigger housing and Briley trigger components, but that is sticking a ton more money into something that already works. My CarrierComp tube should be here in January and I’ll be good to go.

  8. LGS store has one of these on consignment for 995. Looks like new. I might have to do some research
  9. or my other option is to just keep the irons for the M4 and get an RMR for the Langdon 1301 I pre ordered with the Aridus CROM mount.
  10. Got it, maybe I will go that route. I’ve just read that with the co witness the sync provides it can be a busy sight picture with an RMR. I’ll have to look into it a bit more. I haven’t seen much with a micro mounted on a sync. I have the Scalar Leap mount for the MRO on the AR. Nice mount.
  11. Might have to just give it a try. I see a lot of Aimpoint micros with low mounts and factory stocks. I would think it would be similar/same height, but maybe not?
  12. The weight I was referring to was in regard to an optic being too heavy and ultimately destroying the aluminum receiver. For lack of better terms the combined effect of a heavy optic and recoil causing the screws holding the rail down to beat the snot out of the aluminum receiver and ultimately widen out the screw holes.
  13. Hello all, new to the forum but not Benelli. Lol i recently picked up a M4 and I’m looking to add an optic. I always see Aimpoint micros or RMR’s, but not really ever an MRO. Was looking at taking my MRO off my AR and buying a low ADM mount for it for the shotgun. I’ve always heard you don’t want anything too heavy in these and maybe the MRO with a mount is a touch heavy?
