I’ve grown more fond of the 24” and 26” barrels. I’m selling my 28” M2.
-
It won’t affect function or value. Shoot it.

I ended up selling the LTT 1301 to my sister as they were in need of a HD setup. Never even shot it, but I felt they needed it more than I did. my M4 (11707) has a carrier comp tube, follower, spring and then FFT forends. Other than that it is stock. I ended up spending my money on a couple JP AR’s recently.
-
The carrier comp one is also nice. Could also get one of their springs while your at it.
-
It’s not on your list, but for an all around and my favorite I’d go for a M2. I also like M1’s but they are hard to come by anymore.
-
No idea on the brand, but $389 is all. Lol
-
I’d like to see some pics of the u-loops attached to the factory points when you get the sling.
-
Yea, I’d consider that as nothing. That will be the first of many dings if the gun is actually ever fired.

Benelli needs to get back in track with their QC. Seems to be a lot of quirks as of late with the M4’s. I feel fortunate the one I purchased this past July was what I expected. Curious if M2’s or any other models are falling victim as well.

CarrierComp is what I went with. Not sure what their lead times are currently, but I don’t think 2-3 months is uncommon. others here seem to like the Briley carbon fiber, Freedom Fighter Tactical, and there is also a member in here that makes steel tubes as well.

Locally I can find Federal, Winchester, Brenneke, and Remington. That’s what my stash consists of and what I stick with.
-
I’d rather find a new one with the stock vs dumping another 500 into swapping mine out.
-
Interesting. I have the Federal flite control low recoil LE stuff and I can only fit 6rds of this. I can fit 7 slugs no problem.
-
What brand of buckshot?
-
I’m not sure if it’s necessary to fire X amount of full power loads. I want to say I’ve read that it’s best to do that before expecting them to run on lower power rounds. I shot 1600fps slugs. In your case it’s sounds like it cycles low power so maybe no worries?
-
I have a bunch of the same stuff, but haven’t fired it yet. Mine cycled the low recoil LE buckshot just fine and it is slower, I wouldn’t worry too much about these slugs. Is the gun brand new? I did put around 50 rounds of full power slugs through mine first before the low recoil stuff.
-
Some shells are just longer than others. My carrier comp tube will hold 6rds of the federal flite control buckshot, but hold 7 federal slugs with room to spare. I’ve just been loading 2 slugs first then 5 of the buckshot and it holds 7 that way.
-
I like it. A quick detach option while maintaining the factory connection points.
-
I’ve read one too many negative things about the aftermarket pieces to even want to change from the factory one. That and I haven’t ran into a situation where the factory one didn’t do what I needed it to do. The CarrierComp one seemed to be the “one” but it’s no longer made.
-
I just put on a CarrierComp tube. Fit and finish are flawless. The DG finish is about as exact if a match to the barrel as you can get. I did notice they just raised their price $30, but if I had to do it over again I buy from them again. They include a spring and follower too for $229. The lead times might be longer on the CC, but I didn’t care about that.
