How do you like it? I was looking at the FFT one myself. Are they all pretty much the same? Are there any major differences between them?

i like the Ti tube, however, i don’t have experience with any other make. i went with the carrier comp bc i found one lnib priced right when the waiting list to get one new was around 6 months.

  2. how many of us are ever really done? i myself feel im done but who knows what cool new upgrade will come along.

    currently:

    carrier comp Ti 7rd tube

mesa tactical urbino stock with pistol grip rubber replaced with oem benelli rubber grip

    a&s Al trigger housing

    taran tactical oversized safety

    taran tactical charging handle

ava light mount w/ surefire g2x tactical handheld flashlight

    scalarworks sync mount w/holosun hs503g

oem hand guards stippled by tango arms (“standard” pattern i think its called)

mesa tactical qd sling mount for urbino stock (for when i want to run a single point sling)

noveske qd sling mount in stock (for running the 2-pt sling i usually go with)

    magpul ms4 sling

    esstac 7rd cards

thats all for now, but considering getting another set of oem hand guards to get a full stipple pattern. maybe possibly a briley trigger upgrade in the future. maybe.

  3. i got my oem hand guards done by tango arms. there are users in this forum that offer similar service.

i agree with the guys above. although i didn’t end up buying any of the metal hand guards the perceived consensus on this forum was the added weight didn’t overcome the downsides. the deal breaker for me was the need for tools for removal.

the one thing i wish is that i had done a full stipple and not just the “standard”.

It is a critical part that could easily be lost under stress. Best to have a spare or two was my thinking and I, personally, like a larger knob than the OEM.

i agree with this. i may sell off a few when i have made up my mind on which i like best but either way i will keep at least one as back up. probably the oem.

  5. i too have purchased several and think i am done. i currently run the taran tactical version 2.0 or whatever they call it. didn’t really care for the oem though nothing was really wrong for it.

I have 3 or 4 different brands but not a Vang Comp, they all work pretty much the same, the esstac has a nice big loop for removal and is my favorite. The only real differences are round count and color. The M4 receiver will accommodate a 7 round size, others, such as Mossberg, will only hold a 5 comfortably and a 7 round fits perfectly in a 30 round AR pouch for rapid spares.

Thanks for the review information about the size fitting on a Mossberg. I was going to order a 7 round unit for my 590A1 until I read this and then ordered a 5 round unit for best fit.

never had a problem running a 7-rd card on my mossberg. currently have one sitting on the 500 in the closet.

I just purchased a limited M1014 with the flag stamp off gun broker and believe it or not I got it for $1300

The seller had put a standard gun stock on it and the two round Benelli extension

So I searched  around and got the false mag extension for $20 and I also found a Brand new Benelli skeletonized stock that came on it it originally for $189

I just wanted the original parts in case I needed to put it back to stock some day

I also found and purchased the Benelli recoil tube to make it collapsable

Wow! $1300. I would be hard pressed to pass on that.

Any suggestions for QD mounts for the T2 and the SRO?

i don’t run an aimpoint but i have a holosun 503G on an American Defense AD-T1-L qd mount which has the same footprint for a T1/T2. mine is mounted to the benelli oem rail. it blocks the iron sights making them unusable but it is qd so can be removed quickly if need be.

SD, If i get the AS Housing and send it off to Briley for their trigger, that parts would i have to buy to leave my poly trigger group stock?  Safety I know, I have a Tararn Tactical lifter as well.  What would the additional parts cost?

A&S Engineering will give you the trigger frame (014J), the safety retainer pin (012J) and the rear trigger pin (010J). The Briley trigger packs will give you the trigger (009J), hammer (002J) and disconnector (005B). I'm not sure about the disconnector spring (277J), disconnector plunger 045J, disconnector pin (023J) and trigger spring (011J).

You could put your OEM Carrier (017J) back in the polymer frame if you wanted. You'd need a bunch of other parts like a trigger pin (010J), safety(013J), safety plunger (008J), safety spring (007J), shell release lever (076J), trigger bushing (016J), trigger guard pin spring (018J), breech bolt latch (019J), breech bolt latch pin (020J), carrier spring plunger (022J), carrier spring (021J), hammer spring (004J), hammer spring cap (003J), shell release lever spring (077J).

It's going to nickel and dime you to death. You can probably buy a complete pack for about what you'd spend on all of the individual small parts. You can look at pricing for the components here:

    https://www.midwestgunworks.com/benelli-m4/parts.html

Ya this was my plan as well. I want to keep my oem trigger pack (at least for now) and send briley the a&s trigger guard and taran tactical lifter i picked up.
