  1. I put the Vortex Viper multi-reticle shotgun red dot on my M3 and M4. It has an integral mount and gets it very low on the receiver. I like the way they work, but have not had an opportunity to sight them in yet.
  2. I sent you a private message about a seller that I ordered from today.
  3. Follow up. The vendor lied to me about the guns they had being threaded for chokes. I ordered it and it came in today without threading. I called them and they said that all the guns they had were fixed choke models.
  4. I spoke to Benelli Customer Service today to inquire about the LE M4 11721 having interchangeable chokes (or being threaded for them). I was told that the new M4's will no longer have interchangeable chokes. I looked at two this week at a local LE supply and they were not threaded for choke tubes. Luckily I found one at a vendor in another state that had some in stock with the threaded barrels. Benelli has yet to change their website about changing the barrels. This may lead to some customers not being happy.
  5. I made some calls and found an 11721 at a dealer in Kentucky that has three in stock. They checked for me and all three have the threaded barrels, so its on its way. They also had a killer deal on the gun with no shipping charge.
  6. I FINALLY got through to Benelli. Per their customer service person, Benelli no longer makes a law enforcement m4 that is threaded for interchangeable chokes. He said the "new models" only come with a fixed choke. Solved my problem and saved me $2K.
  7. I've been a sworn officer for over 46 years and retired as an agency head so I know the process. I just want to know if anyone knows if this particular model is threaded for interchangeable chokes.
  8. I have tried to contact Benelli but have received no answer so I thought I would try here. I'm a law enforcement officer and want to order an M4 with the collapsible stock, 7 round magazine and most importantly (to me) interchangeable chokes. My question is which model has all these features. The website appears to say that the 11721 has all three, but I looked at two today that was not threaded for interchangeable chokes. Any help is appreciated. Bill
  9. Thanks, I found one from another source before I saw your reply. Thank you again, Bill
  10. Anyone know where I can find a 26 inch field barrel for my M3? Seems none are in stock anywhere. Thanks, Bill
  11. I have a 2 round extension on mine and its about 2 or 3 inches shorter than the one pictured above. Unfortunately I don't have a photo available to upload. Mine is a Benelli OEM part.
  12. If you want to see hundreds of $100K shotguns at one time, go the the Southern Side by Side Exposition at Deep River Sporting Clays outside of Sanford, NC. I would estimate that Connecticut Firearms had several million in guns at their display and they are probably 10% of the show.
  13. Thanks.
  14. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol recently traded in their first gen Beretta 1301's The police supply sold them for $700 plus tax. I bought two. They had seen very little use. A couple of friends got lucky and got "spare" guns that had not been fired. (They are all gone now). They had the Mesa Tactical pistol grip stocks and two shot extensions. I know some that were resold for as much as $1599. I bought two, but have not had an opportunity to shoot it yet. The only problem is that I bought a Benelli M3 the week before they became available. What's interesting it the Beretta stock is too short for me and the Benelli is too long. The only criticisms of the Beretta is the issue of the bolt carrier release being inadvertently pressed and locking up the gun. This issue was fixed on the Gen 2 and has been fixed on my guns by addition of at $5 part from Beretta. The other (and its nothing but a personal preference) is the safety in the Beretta is forward of the trigger. I'm used to the safety being behind the trigger. The Beretta is noticeably lighter than the Benelli.
  15. I recently bought a Benelli M3. I am thinking of mounting a Holosun sight on the gun. (I have astigmatism and the Holosun works best for me). If I get a Scalarworks mount I believe the sight will co-witness with the ghost ring sights. My question deals with using the 26 inch field barrel. Will this setup work with both the 19.75 inch and 26 inch barrels? I was also curious if when changing barrels would the Holosun sight would need to be recalibrated or would the point of impact remain the same (if using the same type of load)?
  16. Anyone know the difference between the Benelli M3 two shot mag tube extension and the Sure Cycle Magazine extension? Which is recommended? Thanks in advance, Bill
  17. I posted my question on another forum and learned that Benelli has, in fact, modified the M3 so as to make ghost loading impossible. There is a "modification" that can be performed to negate the modification, but I'm not comfortable doing that, so I will leave it as it is.
  18. Has Benelli made a change to the M3 that precluded ghost loading an additional round on newer guns. I bought on last week and I have not been able to ghost load an extra shell using either method I've seen in videos on line. I have been unable to get the bolt to close over the shell that I have placed on the carrier. I hope I'm doing something wrong and it will load the extra shell. Thanks in advance.
