  1. Would have loved to take advantage of this (I'm the one who asked for it after all ) but waiting on your heat shield to become available. Thanks much for offering this!!
  2. Took a serious look at the 11714 but went with the 11715 for many of the reasons listed above. Thinking about the heat shield from RX Arms when they are back in stock....I like this set up as it keeps the stock poly hand guards and puts flashlight placement further forward.
  3. Thanks @dirtdarte Appreciate your response and wishing you the best with your Ethos in the future!!
  4. I've got some slight rotational play on my 2023 build too. The telescoping functionality is a bit stiff, but seems to be a little better the more I move the stock in and out. I've not noticed any sounds like OP. BTW, the vid was a nice touch to illustrate your questions!!
  5. Just bought an M4 and spent a frustrating night last night trying to register the warranty. Long story short, it simply would not work, no matter how many times I tried to register the shotgun. So, I call Benelli this morning. Spoke to Chris (i think that was his name), and he almost immediately stopped me and said that their website was not working correctly and it would not work to register the warranty. Per Benelli website: In order to be covered by the Benelli Warranties you must: Register your firearm below within 30 days from purchase. The warranty will be validated by the serial number of your firearm. We recommend keeping a copy of your original proof of purchase so that the start date for your Benelli Warranties can be verified. Be the original purchaser of the firearm. The Benelli Warranties do not cover any claims made by subsequent owners. Purchase your firearm from an authorized Benelli dealer in the United States of America. Benelli dealers can be found at https://www.benelliusa.com/find-a-benelli-dealer. He then went on to tell me that it was NOT necessary to actually register the warranty with them, but to take a pic of the original purchase receipt in case it was needed at a later date. Does this sound right to you? Hopefully I'll never need the warranty, but it's too expensive of a firearm not to have a usable warranty. Please share your thoughts! Thanks much...
  6. Interesting thought and something I never considered doing to the inside of the receiver. Might consider this if it does not losen up some....just hate the thought of having to do this on such an expensive shotgun!! @Jetspeed31, would you mind sharing how far into the inside of the receiver you used steel wool? Thanks for sharing your experience!
  7. I bought model 11715 but almost bought either 11714 or 11732 which is the Gen 2 with a 5 position stock that appears like it might be much smoother to adjust.....just preferred the 11715. Had no idea that the tolerances were this tight....my first shotgun purchase as I own AR platform rifles and never had this experience with those collapseble stocks.
  8. Thanks @RxArms....good to know! I've got it to where it is much smoother to adjust from 3rd (fully out) to 2nd (middle) position. However, going from 2nd to all the way in and then back out remains very tight. Hoping with some wear it will smooth out some. BTW, I've been eying several goodies from you.....QD sling, bolt release tab and heat shield (when back in stock)! How about some Black Friday action??!! 😁
  9. Thank you @Drago89 and @Ceephus. Hoping I'll experience results as well. Appreciate your feedback!
  10. Thanks @StrangerDanger! I certainly will try and oil it some. I've not shot it yet, so hopefully it will loosen up some with use. I have read that replacing the tube is a pain and don't want to do that for sure! Thanks for the advice!
  11. Yes I am. Assume this is correct? It is particularly more difficult the closer to being fully closed. Wondering if I should apply a small amount of CLP on the unload mechanism? Thank you @StrangerDanger for your response.
  12. Understood and appreciate your response. From the youtube vids I have watched, it looks super simple to adjust, but that has not been the case so far. It is brand new, so hopefully it will wear in some. I don't think I'll be adjusting it much, but was surprised that it was not a smooth adjustment. Thanks @brightt!!
  13. New Benelli M4 owner. Just received model 11715, which comes with the 3 position adjustable stock, and I am finding that, out of the box, it is very hard to adjust. I twist it to the right and then it is very hard to move to the 2nd and 1st positions and then back all the way extended. I did put a very small amount of lube on the recoil tube and this seemed to help somewhat. Is this normal for a new gun? Any thoughts and/or suggestions would be appreciated!! Am I missing something?....This is my first Benelli M4.
  14. I am familiar with Scheels (one not far from the my house). I have found their customer service to be very good. Sound like @remarkable may be able to help, but if not, I would certainly talk with Scheels. The one near my house had literally a dozen M4's last time I was there! GL
  15. OP, did you check with the store where you purchased the shotgun to see how they can help you? Assume you did, but you did not specifically mention this. Sorry for your trouble!! GL
