The question is too broad.

Your shot and choke combinations depend greatly on the type of hunting you're doing.

Are you hunting big ducks (blacks, mallards) or small ducks (teal, woodies)?

Are you hunting big water decoy spreads or close in swamps?

Ditto on geese. Water blinds or pits? Snows or Canadas?

Here is a good guide for steel shot:

I shoot a Briley Duck Choke, which is a light modified, for everything. My favorite load for ducks is 3" Federal premium #2's and for geese is 3 1/2" Federal premium BB.

I field hunt for geese and over decoys for duck. For geese I shoot an IM and 3 1/2 Kent BBB's. Average range of 30 yards. For ducks I shoot an IC with 2 3/4 inch 2's. average shot is 20 yards. Some of my hunting partners shoot hevishot etc. It all seems to work the same. When they commit and their eyes blink. Take em.
