The ports will definitely make it louder since some of the gases are coming out the sides of your gun instead of all out the end of your barrel. How much for the patternmaster?

If you find one that is made to fit, let me know. I haven't been able to find one for it yet.

I used the 3 1/2" #6's also last year. Deadly stuff with the right tube.

I use the Sims also. No problems either.

They show a picture of 3 extended crio chokes for the SBE/M2 on the accessories page. One for turkey, waterfowl pass shooting and waterfowl decoy shooting tube.

Anyone know where to get a different pad for the 20 ga. m1? I need a longer length of pull for myself and a softer one to soak up recoil for my wife. With the thin one that came with it, I think it kicks more than my SBE. I love the gun though.

I shoot a Briley Duck Choke, which is a light modified, for everything. My favorite load for ducks is 3" Federal premium #2's and for geese is 3 1/2" Federal premium BB.

Yeah, I'll be bringing my SBE as my main gun. I just thought it would be fun to shoot some geese in the fields with the 20ga. I may shoot some ducks in the potholes too. I was thinking about just using the 4's also. Thanks.

I bought a 20 ga. M1 for my wife. This thing is so nice that I am considering taking it to Canada with me this fall for geese and ducks as my back up gun. I am planning on shooting Hevi-shot. What sizes should I hunt with? I thought about the #4's for an all around load but wanted to here from someone that has real world experience. Thanks.

I would say it's the wad. I patterned my gun using the flight control shells and was picking up the wad a good 35 steps in front of me. The wad is incredibly thick also, almost as thick as the shell itself. It is strange looking. I'd say they kick 30% more than the regular ones too!!

Where have you saw a cantilever slug barrel for a SBE? Or are you talking about the factory one?

The wear on my SBE didn't get any worse after the initial wear either.

Mine did it on my old low rib model SBE the most. My newer high rib model doesn't seem to be doing it as bad. I think it's just cosmetic and doesn't cause any trouble. I believe it's where the brass of the ejecting empty hits the side of the ejection port on it's way out.

Is what you are describing on the top of the groove the bolt slides in? If so, my old SBE did the same thing. I think it is caused by the empty shell catching on it when it is ejected. Looked pretty bad but never caused me any trouble. Mine didn't start looking bad until a few hundred rounds were fired though.

The Benelli website says they are available for the M1.

Locking head pin

I have a 20 ga. m1 slug gun, matte/synthetic. I can't find a sling swivel that will fit through the magazine cap stud. What have you guys been using or are you even having a problem? The Uncle Mike's I have fits fine in the butt stock but is too big to fit through the magazine cap.

If you have the locking head pin out, I have no idea what would be holding the locking head in. There is nothing else there except the spring behind it, the locking head should slide right out no matter how you turn it.

My 24 in. barreled SBE is the same length as my Remington 870 with a 26 in. barrel. I think the length of the receiver is what gives it the extra length. I love my 24 in. barrel.

I have a 20 ga. M1 slug gun. I just bought it this year. I like it very much. Night and day difference in the recoil compared to my 12 ga.
