    SRM Sure Cycle

I've got the sure cycle recoil spring and housing on mine. Other than it being stainless, I couldn't really tell the difference in performance. It might lock up a bit faster but the stainless steel does give me peace of mind. My old spring got pretty rusty fast.
  2. Since the SBE barrel and receiver are one piece, the scope will be mounted directly to the barrel possibly making it more accurate, plus you could change out the barrel with a smooth bore and back to the slug barrel without losing zero.
  3. The SBE barrel and receiver are one piece so you would have the advantage of changing barrels without having to re-zero your scope when you put it back on.
  4. I'm not sure about the 20 guage but I have read that the 12 guage will have to use a modified fore end as the barrel is bigger on the slug than on the standard. The slug barrel will fit on any receiver I believe but you would need to get the new fore end. If you happen to get the 20 ga. slug gun, let me know how it shoots because I am seriously considering getting one myself

    Camo Peeling

Anyone else having the camo peeling off your gun? Mine is 1 year old and the camo is starting to peel on the bottom of the barrel/receiver. It starting on a sharp edge and is slowly moving up towards the top of the receiver. Also, the camo is worn through in a couple of spots under the forearm, where it touches the barrel.

    SBE Problem

Did you clean it real good when you first got it? Soemtimes it has a packing grease all over it for protection and you have to take that all off and oil it before you use it. Other than that, I wouldn't have any idea what the problem is. Maybe try a different brand of shell.

    SBE Problem

I shot 4 boxes of the winchester Xperts. 2 3/4 inch #6 and #7 without any problems at all this past weekend while I was dove hunting on a state area. I believe they are only 1 ounce loads too. The SBE is supposed to shoot all 1 1/8 ounce loads so I would be inclined on calling Benelli and asking them what the problem might be.

    SBE Problem

What load was it? Mine cycles the 1 1/8th ounce loads perfectly. It will cycle the 1 ounce loads also but they have to be a specific brand.

    SBE jamming

Check the locking head pin for wear. Mine was having trouble cycling every once in awhile, nothing like yours though. I replaced it and my problems went away.

    plug removal

You will need a pair of snap ring pliers. You could probably get it out with something else but the snap ring pliers are easiest for me.
  11. I shoot the Sellior and Bellot sporting clays loads in my SBE with no problem at all. They are 1 1/8 oz. loads though. Mine will shoot 1oz. loads also.
