choke tube info help

benelli m1 m2 does the choke tube on the m1 have the threads at the end of the barrel and the m2 have the threads down in the tube a ways????? have one of each trying to get the originals back with the right gun. any advise would be greatly appriciated thanks

The order that you stated is correct. M1 threads at the very end, M2 threads a little bit down inside.

All the M2 chokes I've seen are longer than the chokes for the M1. Factory chokes.
