karlb206 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I have one of the original prototype M1014 with a very low serial number that I have been holding on to. It has red American flag stamped on the side. Any idea how much it would be worth when compared with the new manufacture M4? Quote
Monkey Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 What makes you think it's a prototype? The 1014 LE is not a particularly collectible gun, not sure a prototype would mean anything to anyone. Quote
Duggan Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 It's worth $2200 or so, maybe, tops, if it has the skeletonized stock and is in good condition and you find the right buyer. However, there are some on here that claim it to be some super rare collectors edition thing, and then try and charge $3500+ for one, which is lunacy. It's an inferior gun to the later models, and the later models can still be found for $1650 without the skeletonized stock, which is worth $500 or so on it's own, sometimes more. Quote
